California Launches SUN Bucks Food Benefit Program

Starting this summer, California families can buy more food for their children with SUN Bucks, also called Summer-EBT. Children who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals through a school meal application or an Alternative Income Form, or get CalFresh, CalWORKs, or Medi-Cal, are automatically enrolled. Every SUN Bucks card will be loaded with $120 total for food. Cards will be mailed to eligible school-age children starting in June.
