Well, I think y'all already know so far, My Favorites so far are: Mio (Personality, and Crit Strike, and one-shotting) Rayna, (The Goat Tank, the D.K, and taking hits like a Boss), Milana (They really bust the Dark Rune with her, and she is Calling on minions. She also thinks you work for her). Also, there is something to Reyna and Milana for backstory That is all for now on those due too I'm a turtle and 95+ hours in and about 70% done with the story. MC is Nowa, he just wants to do the right thing, and I'll leave it at that don't wanna spoil it. For Support. it goes to one Hero. Thats Galladur. Just insta killing all the trash, and his personality is great. And... that Name is fire

As of right now, I'm Favoriting Elektra (Thrust, Light, Power) Armor Acc, She doing very well. Leene is fun, with the Bola's Base her as my party healer (Water/Pure and Wind/Tempest, MP boost and Magic Boost). She has 8 Slots all 4 stars. As my last 2 battle slots
My favorite Dramatic exchange is between Markus and Milana, their back and forth is cracking me up
Some tops for me so Far is Nil, a great Armored healer (She can play Front)... and She is so innocent and pure. Love El Alicanto, that duel is fire. He just cracks me up. Battle wise he is okay
Been loving El Alicanto. And yeah, that duel was great. His rune slots hold him back from being a top character, but he's still got pretty amazing stats all around. Love bringing him along anyway for his extra item drop rune combined with the accessories to basically get everything I need from the battle drops.
This list absolutely beautiful, Markus and Milana interaction is still probably one of my favorites right now. Those two could have their own game at this point lol
Elektra is one who definitely crepped up on me. She's so sick
My top favorites would be
Iugo: Just a really sick samurai dude and he's a strong party members that carries through a good portion of the game.
Francesca: I really love her personality and how funny she is during certain moments in the game. She may not be too great gameplay wise, but I just love her character alot.
Reyna: Definitely love at first sight when I saw her. Everything about her is just really cool especially her design. Would love to see her return in the sequel
Perielle: This one is a little unexpected but I actually love her no nonsense personality and how she gets things done without not being too abrasive or a by the books damsel in distress.
Garoo: I'm biased because he's a kangaroo and he's got a cool accent. It makes me want to play Rising to learn about him.
Yuferius: Shi'arcs for life. That's all I gotta say.
Hakugin: I love my ninja chicks and she's certainly a good one. Cool personally and she's actually good in combat. Plus her rivalry with Mio makes for some fun little moments.
So that would my favorites so far
I won't lie, I heard of this game, but my interest went up exponentially once I learned of one key detail:
Shark people.
Haha and they are some of the hypest and best in the game. At least in my opinion. I love the Shark dude, he's always in my party

Some of my favorite characters from Eiyuden are:
-Garr: As one of the main supporting characters, Garr appears quite frequently, helping to build his character. He is also quite strong as a unit with beefy HP and defense (He actually saved me when my party got wiped in Seaside Cavern, he stood alone and takes less than 50 damage each time)
-Hakugin: I love Hakugin design aesthetically and she is quite good if levelled. She cannot really take much hit though.
-Isha: From Rising! I absolutely adore her design (Her sleveless Qipao and her blue aesthetic is just beautiful) and her antics. She is also a good spellcaster, with her basic attack being water element. The fact that despite she is a good talker but absolutely horrendous at acting is also a bonus. Try her out in the Theater, she cant even play herself in the Rising script xD
-Sabine: Sabine is a very good tank early in the game (She can replace Garr, but i prefer to bring them both). Her stats fall off later (And Elektra is basically better than her) but she is very fun addition to add to the party.
I'm aligned with you in your choices pretty much. I love Lam and Yusuke as well, and I think Carrie is the best teleporter since Suiko, and I love Viki. The cast overall has been pretty great, I've very much enjoyed putting together teams and testing stuff, glad there's a hard mode.
Who are some of your favorite Characters in Eiyuden Chronicle so far? And why!?
Yuferius was in ym party from the moment I got him. He even screemed SMAAAAASSSHH into the cutscene after landing the killing blow on the final boss

I've actually really enjoyed using Carrie mainly for her dialog in battles. I just wish she had better rune slot choices. Also liked Maureus and his over-the-top "meathead" Arnold impersonation. More games need a muscle magician.
i used carrie only for teleportation feature 😅
I think it's super cool you showed Maureus love. I like that he change MP to Muscle Points. I was laughing 😂

Shi'arcs for the win! They are so adorably cool. They the ones you can trust to always have your back. The way they fear the ocean as shark people is a flavorful twist.
I thought that was such a good twist! I got a kick outta them hating the ocean and water 😂
Killer video... my favorite part of suikoden was building parties and EC does its just right.
Exactly, I haven't felt this type of nostalgia in a jrpg in a long time.
I actually like Kallathor, the treefolk. His design is super simple, but I like his personality. He's adventurous and has the drive to learn new things. He resonates with the values I want to live by. Plus, he sounds sweet, like a son you want to protect.
Others: Maureus (Terminator Mage?), Garr, Garoo, Valentin, Maxim, Yuferius, Shixeen, Nell & Mandie (He's hilarious if you put him in the theatre; Made laugh a few times).
I love Yusuke. He's got a great sprite. Some great poses. Does a truck load of damage. And is obviously a Bosozoku despite calling himself a Desperado.
So far he’s my favorite too!
but yusuke fall behind in the end game compared to yusferius, the shark guy, he also have charge ability like yusuke, basically he is the upgraded version of yusuke
Dudes a beast for sure
*Melridge* My favorite character. If it wasnt for Melridge the alliance would have failed ten times over. Dux Aldrich even comments two different times about how dangerous he is. I like that the alliance is so dependant on him and he has no problem admitting that he just didnt want to lose his study.
*Wayve* The most chill and laid back character and his personal rune looks awesome.
*Geiran* He wasnt the greatest Mage so he used his talents in Alchemy and technology to better his magical talents, making him a unique Mage with heavy armor and shield. He has the coolest character portrait under the status tab by far
*Yuthus* He's just hilarious to me. He will run to his death defending his teammates with that oversized shield. Actually all 3 war orphans (Kogen, Yuthus and Zabi) have sad backstories as well.
*Perielle* very intelligent. Understood how important optics and morale is to a succesful revolution. The architect of the alliance.
*Yusuke* Bad boy in pink. Taking Faye under his wing was adorable, too
*Elektra* great character and gives one of the best pre battle speeches in the entire game.
*Markus* Everything about him is both tragic and hilarious.
*Nil* My favorite character design in the game. Mysterious as well. Is she an actual robot/golem or does she just think she is? I mean she eats like normal people.
*Mio* If she wasnt around to offset Lians complete annoyingness i dont know what i would have done.
Most Hated Character:
*Lian* I could write for hours..
Yea Lian she is just too annoying in almost every way and never matured when she could've.
They also butchered her in English Translation terms to make her even more annoying and stupid.
The kids around you act more mature and knowledgeable then her.
Garr, no question. not only is he tanky asf, has a cool design, he is also a good character to Nowa and he is with you right from the beginning. just wish they would have given him better rune-slots and didnt make him that slow.

I just finished Yaarnan and so far, my favorite char is:
1. Milana
THE main DPS of my party. Her normal Atk hits like a truck despite being a mage. Her skeleton flick obliterate everything without MP and she can use revenants to attack all enemies. She also has 2 magic rune slots to cover for other elements. Her design with floating skeletons? RAD!
2. Falward
Just like your reason with Francesca, I like Falward because he's a Tsundere healer with the ability to stun enemy by just attacking normally.
3. Wayve
Damn! He's cool! He's just my type lol.
I haven't got Elektra yet, but if she's like other Suikoden Falcon Rune users then I will like her. Falcon Rune users are always elegant and powerful.
Right now my party is:
F: Reyna (Tank) - Nowa (DPS) - Seign (Healer / DPS)
B: Falward (Healer) - Marissa (just for the trio) - Milana (DPS)
Marissa is my weak point. I might drop her for Momo and maybe drop Reyna for Elektra.
Honestly loving all the characters in the game. Lian has won my heart. Sabine is another main stay in my party so far.
My other favourites are CJ, Hildi, Scarlet, Yuferius, Yume, Hakugin, Seign and Garr. These characters just bring me joy.

Francesca is hilarious, but she shines with Falward. Their team combo is a strong party heal for 3 SP. Saves items and MP for bosses.
That team combo is so amazing, I absolutely love it! Francesca all day even if she's low tier haha
Francesca could have been really unique if it was more like an actual split personality.
probably mentioned already but Francesca combo with Falward is op, hopefully no Fran fans skip this combo. Yusuke is also very strong
Fran and Falward is definitely a dope combo! It keeps Fran pretty relevant in my opinion
Interesting list, I haven't used the shark folks much mostly because I'm still bitter about Scarlet, I hate that stupid boat race thing.
Bernard I like his design and him as a character but he just dies to dang quickly for me.
Francesca joined my party and never left.
Wayve became one of my favorites. Love his design, he hits hard, his aoe magic attack is great.
I agree, Seign had the best arc. I think personality wise Nowa made sense as the MC, but Marisa was my favorite. Love her design, she's strong in combat, she's well written.
Haha we have very similar taste! Scarlet is a beast too! Bernard definitely makes me sad, because he's such a cool character but they made him extremely basic.
My Favorite is Markus because he is able to be both Goofy and Serious.
Also he's a Lich Buddy, that already puts him above all the human characters.
markus has 8 runes, that's nice, but mainly magic
Seign - My bias character in this game, even though he is not that OP when in terms of stats. I like his style and Rune Lightning and Sword Rain.
Falward - My best healer of all time one of the fastest and good magic dealer characters as well.
Hakugin - I hope they make Hakugin as male character. I like Ninja characters and the fact that she's so fast with just her raw speed and also her Fixed Rune that can deal damage in a row.
Wayve - I like the coolness of his style and also his physical strength and his Rune that can deal damage in a row.
Carrie - She's so cute and I like her vibe. She's one of my back end support healer as well.

CJ, Wayve, Isha, Lam, Garoo, Milana, Reyna, Yuske, Perielle, Hakugin
I like Yuferius and Gieran. Leene is pretty rad too. She does Joeseph Joestars special move 😆
Yuferius is a straight beast, nice to see some Gieran love. I don't hear folks talk about him much
@kali-qgames1301 People probably don't level him up enough to get the Conservation rune unlocked. His MP discount is great.
No matter how weak or average she is, franchesca is still the best. What I like about her is that she isn't really being fake, she's a person that had an attitude that legit wants to be better and sometimes people make her show her old self. That's actually very real especially with some people in the health industry.
I'm with you, I'm rocking with Francesca no matter what. She still made it to my end game party lol
Did you tried the Theater? Wayve's VA did a terrific job in those plays, especially Red Riding Hood as either Romeo or Juliet!🤣

I heard bad things about Francesca before I started, like she has low stats and dies easily and is one of the worse characters... along with having one of the best Hero combos with the other healer person. So far, I'm only about 4 hours in but I love her lol. When I heard her yelling at those dudes in her intro scene I knew I was going to keep her around. OH YEAAH!?

Yea thankfully due to the difficulty of the game unless you add all negative modifiers you can really use anyone easily.
Yaelu's fit and Hilda's Fit are my favourite. Yusuke, Kogan and Francesca are my favourite personalities so far (only at hishahn and doing Seigns diversion first before the desert). Yuthus is my favourite weapon type bar none his personality is mediocre but it's growing on me a little bit. I just wish Yuthus's passive to cover anybody triggered a lot more frequently to make his role feasible for me (hard mode with all the modifiers on).

Ah, you sweet, sweet summer child. I'm pretty sure you meant to say "the Professor Wu Yung", since that was the strategist's name in the original Water Margin, but the comparison between Wu and Zhuge (the strategist in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the novel Dynasty Warriors is based on) is certainly unmistakable.
Mine, in no particular order...
-Francesca. Obviously. "AND STAY THE HELL DOWN!!!!!!"
-Mellore, because she's basically Sailor Moon
-Sabine. Aside from being a gorgeous redhead, she's a complete monster in battle, double-teaming with Garr and tanking hits like a wall of solid iron. When everyone else was dropping like flies, she was barely getting scratched.
-Iris, no explanation needed. Seriously, have you SEEN this woman?
-Nell, because it's a little critter that hides in a sack, and weird creativity is a big win in my book
-Carrie, about as far removed from Viki's personality as you can get, yet she's still oddly likeable
-Perielle, an excellent four-dimensional character with a backbone made of solid adamantium. Part shrew, part sweetheart, all girlboss.
-Maureus, because MP stands for MUSCLE POINTS! Also, he flexes whenever he uses his rune. That's an easy automatic win.
-Quinn, because I have a soft spot for nerdy adventurous girls with freckles and big glasses.
-Shixeen. Drools.
-Clarke, because the man absolutely oozes dignity
-El Alicanto. His recruitment sidequest. ENOUGH SAID.
-and finally, Elektra. See "Iris" for details. Also, she's really useful in battle!

I also love Elektra! She does come very late in the story, similar to Camus and Miklotov in suikoden II, which I both love as well.. Leon’s another character I have a love and hate relationship with.. Is design, voice, etc are great however his battle mechanics is questionable at best..
What makes Wayve good? Is he DPS? Balanced or Mage knight?
About dijkstra, we cant have seen it all in one game now 😂 otherwise there wouldnt be a possibility for a sequel haha

After over 80 Hours i'm still not finish the Game, But so far i love my Man Iugo❤🎉🎉 He was every Single Moment in my Group and he is a Beast in Combat! I had the same Wishes for Luan and Nowa, Kali😂 i let them played Romio and Juliet together 😂
Lian is the funniest Char in the Game for me.
I also like Very much: Garoo, Garr, Yuferius, Galdorf( finally a Dwarf!) Reyna, Elektra, Isha and Lam! And as Supportcharacter i like my Girl Frida and Cabana with his Son Pyba.
Pohl is my previous baby and I adore him. No one else comes close. He never left my party once I had access to him. I know he's one of the weakest characters in the game, but I don't care, I like him too much to kick him out. xD

Personaly I'm a big fan of perrielle, probably my favorite character.
I also really love Leon his design is great its sad I find out how to make him usefull in fight after completing the game, I will definitely make him par of my team in my next run
Perry ended up surprising me big time. I thought she would be the typical princess, but she's really about that life haha.
It's such a shame they made Leon so tough to use :(
@@kali-qgames1301 The trick with Leon is to use elements buffing enchantments, it use the attacker magic stats to increase the damage whit it by the end game Leon can atack for reasonable amounts of damage.
I hope the sequel will have a pretty vampire lady like Suikoden 2's Sierra. Most of the Undead characters in EC are either Zombies or Liches, so we need more Vamps for EC2(Which can either be ugly like Neclord or Nosferatu or as pretty as Sierra or pretty boys similar to Vampire Diaries but in Anime style lol).

A few things from me:
I have played the game for 100 hours, but am actually at the point before the mission where I will get Elektra et all. I cannot say much about her besides the story so far.
I love Barnard. His voice, character, style. He has one of the coolest normal attacks too. The really weird thing is how weak he is compared to many others. Have you notices that his weapon maxed is the weakest in the entire game? Even Faye is better... There are charactvers whose weapons are literally four times as strong as his, which seems insane (and that is not even counting the monsters).
I would have added Lam and Momo. Those two are cool characters, are strong (Momo is probably the strongest) and have nice gimmicks. Plus Momo being an ancient dude and Lam morphing into her younger self are fun.
I am optimistic about Markus, but I could not use him yet in the story because he is offically still in the castle. He has great Lens stats as far as I could see. I am curious if he tops Momo, who perhaps has the best overall. Amount, ranking, variation.
Regarding things for the sequel: More about the elfs, the Styrin, the East Reach (perhaps that group of the mask lady working for Galdea?) and many more things could be explored.

Funnily enough, some of the strongest characters in the game, too. My final team of lv99 that pretty much trivialized hardmode+max restrictions was Momo, Mellore, Leene, Reyna, Elektra, and Mio.

Ok so out of hundred heroes how many are actually playable ??? Just asking cus I hv a friend who's playing it he said not too many are playable...so???
If by playable you mean can be in your party, about 70 ish can. But if you mean that they are good party members I'd say about 60 ish of them are usable if build right and among them about 15 ish that are just really better than the rest

My biggest disappointment is kassius and galldur not being playable characters. They look so badass and perfect for battle characters

I am only 10 hours in, but so far.....they're all kinda terrible. Except Fransesca. A mage with basic attacks that hit harder than the MC? Yes, please.
Also, is it just me or are combo attacks a waste of time?
Combo attacks definitely leave more to be desired, but Francesca is the bomb! I enjoyed these characters though
Leene is just bullshit, all her hit are crit, give her huge investment and she can hit the mob to isekai..

16 hours in and can't say I'm a big fan of any of the characters in ECHH. I also wasn't expecting the whole 'wokeness' vibe with the transman character and the recruitable guy hitting on Nowa was cringe af. I miss the traditional golden era of 90's Jrpg's. Viktor and Flik were my two favorite characters in the Suikoden series. They were some top g's.
Ill be honest, I do like these characters alot. But the OGs just carry a different weight. I gotta admit
