Those cars with 24 inch rims and 1/4 inch of rubber look ridiculously stupid. 15 inch rims like they used in the 80s when the Pro Street cars became really popular is what looks like a traditional car. Still waiting to see an NHRA Pro Stocker roll into the beams with 1/4 inch of rubber in the rear.
So looking at this a few years after...some of these cars are very cool but most are really, really, way, way, over the top, bleeping stupid looking and stupid concepts. I know I’m an old idiot but whatever happened to the concept of a “street car” that was a car that you drove to work or school or both everyday, that could be driven on a 4 hour road trip, that you could drive to the drag strip, race and drive back, that you could get into a... (cough cough) impromptu street race once in a blue moon (kids, don’t try that at home)...and then would still take you back to work, school or both on Monday? Today “street cars” are trailered everywhere and can’t be really used....on the street!? Another thing, since I am being the old person ranting. WTF happened to 1/4 mile drag racing? Who are these ass clowns that can only go about 100 meters a couple of times and then need an engine rebuild? What’s next? One car length drag racing that will end in the past? 🙄🚗🇨🇺🇺🇸
