Great video and your a big inspiration and the reason I started my own landscaping company! I couldn't afford a Scag cheetah and was approved for a exmark. But trust me once I have funds im buying a cheetah!
I just bought a troy bilt mustang this year, I only have about 20-25 yards that I do. It should be interesting learning just how steep a slope and how wet a ditch it will be able to do without getting struck or sliding. It has far smaller tires than a commercial mower, but weighs less than most of them. Only time will tell.
I thought the thing you ran over at 5:48 was a rock and I thought to myself, “No don’t hit the rock!!” Then I realized it wasn’t a rock when he went over it.
WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS!! sorry, that just looked frustrating to me and I'm a thousand miles away..lol! Excellent job. Gotta love the Orange Beast. Haha! Thank you again for sharing.
Neighbor down the street saw that I bought this he was asking me if I was interested in selling it not a chance I hear Envy in his voice my lawn more I told him is not for sale at any Price
I would always be pondering WHY and HOW did they leave one stinking pine in the ditch? 🤔😂 And close enough to the fence you can't drive between. I'll be wondering about it on my deathbed.
I see you have concrete over your culverts down there - up here in Maine those parts of the ditches are no-man's land. They fill in that area with big 5" rocks. You don't wanna drive over that.
Love your videos what kindof blade s should I be using during high growth seasons I gotta a scag tigercat with mulch system on it only 22hp been overwhelming deck a lot.. Lately any advice on brands of blades I'm using nokoffbrandnow
Well, down here the guys who run mulching systems actually take them off during summer. Otherwise maybe some Gator blades will help. I run them on mine, but I also have an open chute so I don't know.
looking great Mike! really like the view as well. we have similar areas at my full time job that we almost always get stuck in. who am i kidding if that place gets even a little wet mowers will get stuck or plow ruts. its a big flat river bottom with sandy soil so go figure lol
School is overrated. College degrees simply mean you are trainable! Course that is old school thinking. Who knows what degrees mean today? Are you a bot, cosmos?
Just a question. I see you have an open trailer in Florida. Any concern with the mower in the rain ? Really looking for info on weather you would buy an enclosed or keep what you have now an open trailer.
Oh, the mowers are designed to be able to get wet. And I like to put my trailer in my garage at night. Enclosed trailers are usually too tall to fit. But I would prefer an open trailer anyway. Just for the open-ness.
Something 2LookAt awesome man! Thanks for the info. Buying a new trailer soon and also definitely getting a cheetah! If you were to buy a new cheetah would you do the 27hp or the 35hp?
I will definitely up the horsepower next time around. Keep in mind though, even at 27 hp it's a gas pig. 35 will be worse. But if you're general selection of yards looks like mine, there will be many times when you wish you had a bit more hp. :) And by the way, yes, I've stalled it out. It takes a lot to do it, but I've done it.
Something 2LookAt right on! Glad to hear it from someone who knows what there doing! Definitely gonna get the 35 then! Thank you very much for the info and keep up the great videos!
People in Elmira NY mow their grass every 3 days. They believe that if they wait 7 to 9 days between mowings their grass will be butt high grass won't be butt high in 7 to 9 days. It is total exaggeration. Sincerely Robert Gildea
It's says 31 hp on it but there was a controversy over hp at that time. I think we've all agreed that it's a 27. But, you can get a real 35 on it I believe.
I have a chain with me. But I have to pull it out with the truck, the mower is 1400 lbs. So I have to be careful not to get stuck somewhere that the truck cannot go.
Very nice video as usual Mike. Do you have any footage where you have used full power? I really like the sound of the Kawi on these Scags at full blast.
No, actually I think the Turf Tiger would be better. You never really go full speed on these Cheetahs and I think the Turf Tigers have more engine options.
lol, I thought I was going to get stuck too. Actually mowing all the way into those ditches was an after thought. I intended to skip the middle again but decided to risk it since the camera was rolling.
Ashurii ya for sure but when you get into soft ground it will just dig and make a mess if anything u want duals to spread out the weight of the mower so it don't sink
If I paid that much money for a fence it would be level I don't give a shit. They would have got out there with picks and shovels if they had to to level at fence. That's a lot of money. And it's uneven. I would never have anyone put a fence in if it look that bad. That kind of fence guy. I would only send send him to my enemies. Not my friends
I WOULD OF BEEN THROUGH WITH THAT QUICKER WITH MY GRAVELY 48 INCH CUT ,I WOULD OF WENT DOWN THE MIDDLE AND GOT THE REST WITH ONE CUT /TIME IS MONEY GOOD JOB DO .
That is what I heard anyway but I 35 hp I have a gravelly Myers got a 35 hp on the thing doesn’t slow down I love this engine my unit that I bought was 12 grand out the door They asked me if I wanted a smaller motor and I said no absolutely not 35 horse and will be just fine
@@Something2LookAt is it still fun to drive after all these videos? Do you still get a kick out of it? Looking at purchasing my first zero turn on the next couple of weeks
Yes! I've been doing this for 30 years and it's still fun to drive these things. You'll notice though, I do have a bit more fun than the average lawn care worker. Makes it interesting.
I'm gonna agree with you that the Kubota is a better machine. The local drainage district guys run some 72 inch Kubotas and they can really take the high stuff down fast.
Legends say something 2 look at will pin this
I felt compelled to pin this... ??? Weird.
Something 2LookAt your suppose to lol
Some say he's still pinning it.

@@angelafoulks6448 and lo and behold it's pinned.
Oh my God that cut quality is stunning.
You're right about Scag being untouchable!
I live on a corner and mow like you do! Hubby calls me crazy but I love doing it, can't wait for spring! Happy mowing!
Nice video and thanks for not adding any music. Just enjoyed hearing the engine running.
Oh yea, I learned a while ago to provide real time and real sound.
Wow 😯 Mike, That takes Experience & Patience .... Well Done and with very Minimal Rutts 👍🏻 I’m learning every time you put out a video .... Thanks !!
Glad you liked it Danny. :)
😊👍🏻
Loving the new video angle!
Glad that your mower is still working
Great video and your a big inspiration and the reason I started my own landscaping company! I couldn't afford a Scag cheetah and was approved for a exmark. But trust me once I have funds im buying a cheetah!
Cool! Glad to inspire you!
@@Something2LookAt thanks buddy keep up the good work!
Scag mow so nice.... need to run that mower though full throttle..... less stress on the belts, clutch and motor
Better than those a.s.m.r. vids! Wish I was still out there doing it....
It basically is an ASMR vid. My kind of ASMR!
Nice you are doing greate stuff
Thanks!
You have become my go to guy
Great! Welcome!
This is fantastic I just love it 🥰 thank you 😊 for sharing your videos to us God bless you

That might be good in the long run. A lighter mower would be easier to get out of the ditch.
keep this view, saves you time, lets us watch the whole process with no interruptions.
I miss these videos PLEASE come back and post more
Yea sorry about that. Got hit with a major life struggle but I think I can make videos again now. Just looking for the right subject. Hang tight....
Why do I enjoy a mower spraying grass clippings in a thick yard?
I thought the thing you ran over at 5:48 was a rock and I thought to myself, “No don’t hit the rock!!” Then I realized it wasn’t a rock when he went over it.
Its probably an anthill...

You betcha. It's a bit intense mowing ditches.
Dang. I would have sunk my Wildcat in the first crossing of that ditch for sure 😂😂
Mi piace molto come tagli.
Quando fai un video sulla manutenzione del tuo rasaerba?
Grazie, ciao.

You and I both, and the customer. He doesn't want it there either!
The "Cheetah" does is have like a electrical or hydraulic system to raise and lower the deck?
It's just mechanical.
i figured the average cost to one is around $4500-$7500
i looked at one with tracks instead of tires it was $13,000
Bueatiful job on the ditch how long did it take to dry that out how many days
Oh it was like a month
I see you have concrete over your culverts down there - up here in Maine those parts of the ditches are no-man's land. They fill in that area with big 5" rocks. You don't wanna drive over that.
Try crossing the ditch at an angle. Many fewer passes will be required and less steep angles.
Go across ditch before mowing the rest too.
Crossing at an angle would likely gouge at the edges of the deck.
You might be right, but worth a try.
Enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for going to the trouble of making them.

Glad I read the title slowly...
Yea, you really gotta concentrate when reading a title like that.

Yea, sounds like a similar situation. If it's always wet, you just gotta go in there sometimes.
You are too good!

Good job
Nice camera mount
When does you mowing season end?
Can you tilt the camera down a little and to the right? I'd like to be able to see the discharge better.
Keep up the good work.
Hmmm, yea I can. That would be a bit better. But 2 more already filmed like this. Prepare yourself... lol

I'll be watching :)
And could you wear different colored socks, throw in some cartoons, and maybe do some handstands?

What do you have for an engine on your cheater and I’m guessing the Kolors seven series
No no, Kawasaki 850V
Something 2LookAt Is that a 35 hp?
It's says 31 hp on it but there was a controversy over hp at that time. I think we've all agreed that it's a 27. But, you can get a real 35 on it I believe.
Where are you located? Looks like Orlando.
It is Orlando. Far east Orlando.
Cool. I lived on Lee Vista for years. I was wondering if you did any property preservation. I'm based out of Lakeland myself.
I prefer the view from afar over the mower point of view
Thanks for your input. Many people dislike the POV viewpoint.
3:01 on right *its that an anthill?* 🤔
Yea probably
Hearing and Eye protection might be a good idea.
I don't think it's quite loud enough to be a problem. I'm 3 decades in business and my hearing is still perfect.
What does the pedal do?
That raises ad lowers the deck
Something 2LookAt thank you!
Audio sounds like a dying goat

How you Can Mow The Went Thing Grass without your Lawnmower Starley on you
That just seems like a random collection of words. What are you asking?
Good video and work! I was hoping you wouldn't get stuck this time
lol, I thought I was going to get stuck too. Actually mowing all the way into those ditches was an after thought. I intended to skip the middle again but decided to risk it since the camera was rolling.
next time run the craftsman down the middle ;)
Interesting you say that. I did exactly that one the next one just down the street.
all that property and No Shade in the yard---
Tell me about it. No place to hide in that yard.
When you first started mowing this did you get stuck? Great video...... Guess I should have looked at the description before I asked that.
lol, I really should have gotten stuck. It was a miracle!
Pretty fast that cheetah...
please price
We I’m going to bed early and going to have a awesome day tomorrow me at 4:56
Isn't this the, same ditch u got stuck in
lol, yes. Notice I didn't go in that part? :) When it dries out I'll try to film the mow.
Ashurii ya for sure but when you get into soft ground it will just dig and make a mess if anything u want duals to spread out the weight of the mower so it don't sink
Excuse me sir, do not you fear that by leaving valuable machinery on the trailer someday they will steal it?
Everything has their own individual lock. That's all I can do. Can't take it all with me everywhere I go in the yard.
I need some advice man. Is there any way I can get in contact with you outside of youtube?
You serious..
Have you ever rolled the CHEETAH
Oh my, no. Well, not yet. It can really mow at quite an angle but there are certainly limits.

I like thick, wet ditches.
rake it up lol weedwacker too
Get a gravely bush hog for that

👍👍👍
Mate you barely move those levers. At one point you were moving the zt with one hand but looked like barely moving fingers! Unreal that sensitivity
Oh yea, it's like an extension of your own arm. Most hydro systems are like that.
