One of my favorite boats from Deadliest Catch. Captain Sig is one of my five favorite captains from Deadliest Catch. I wish I could meet him someday. I know he would love it as much as I would. My friend who was born with the same syndrome that I was. He got to meet Sig, and Edgar. He said it was the best day of his life.
Watching Deadliest Catch in UK at present and it often has me on the edge of my seat. It certainly is very hard work and you guys earn all the money you get and more. x
As a captain and owner of a fishing vessel I can say with total Confidence. Captain Sig is a captains captain! The mans skills and endurance cannot be denied like him or hate him the man is Lagit as it gets trust me.
I didn't anticipate getting misty when I hit "play" on this video but, well, yea! Giving that kid his dream day is over the top awesome! Way to go Sig & crew! You da men!!! Total respect! 👍
I still remember the pilot, hell it wasn't even a pilot show, more like a documentary , I don't remember the discovery channel having any weekly series like shows . 12 years and I still want...... need, to see what's in that pot when it comes up. !
my dad worked on boats as a tug skipper. i always wanted to work in the industry but a health problem would not allow it. the have a saying in the industry. if u can work through the winter and still like it.... i remember that u have to have great night vision be prepared to die early...from stress
Anybody see the Matt Lauer interview with Sig Hansen? Matt called Sig's boat "The Northeastern". Hey, does anyone besides Edgar Hansen bite that fish head off? I mean do any other people from different boats do it? I know Edgar is always trying to get some Northwestern deckhand to bite the head of the herring.
Its called crab fishing technically and because when you "fish" you have no idea what the results will be. Fishing isnt predominantly only about fish ironically.

What a story sig. You deserve everything you have. I wish you nothing but success for your boat and the people on it.

Why is it called fishing when really it's crabbing?
