I feel you I just started watching these videos again recently because about all I can afford at the moment is a ten dollar Casio. Maybe that’s a little exaggerated but not by much. I feel your pain.
I root for Timex I don't know why. They are doing well I love the overall militaristic design and the green is nice. I think they have to look at what Orient is doing with the Ray and Kamasu that is the affordable watch benchmark imo. I appreciate that your affordable reviews still get the white glove treatment.

I am enamored that Timex is trending back to their roots. As a Connecticut native it's so endearing to see a local and long enduring watch brand make the effort to please their fans. The first watch I ever bought was a Timex when i was 10 years old. I wore a Timex on my wrist as an infantryman in Afghanistan, and I proudly keep a Timex quartz chronograph in my collection to this day. Great review, and keep them coming.
I like how you touch on history of companies. You also do a good job of setting the stage with good back drops (military images). Happy to see you so excited of the Timex. Makes me want to take a closer look at it myself!
As a long time Timex fan I like that you're showing Timex some love . . .I appreciate seeing you review the M279. Oh and keep the Hugo intros coming!! It was sooooo good I watched the intro twice!!
Got one of these the day it went on sale! And it saved my wrist from being bare when my SMP bracelet decided to lose a pin. Glad I brought it along on that particular trip. Keep it up, Timex!
Hugo is an Icon! Timex is a great introductory watch for sure. This model could be cleaned up some as you described, especially for the price. TGV dropping a knowledge bomb on the viewers. Good content and excellent video TGV! O/U my friend, all the best. Also nice job on the Korean interview. 👍🥃
Hugo and a Patek?!?!?! I thought I would never see the day!!! This was an awesome intro, I lost it when Hugo dropped the diameter, Thai is one of my favourite intros. I love this watch, and I’m happy to hear it comes in automatic, I’m going to have to recommend it to a friend of mine Best regards Conner
I discovered your channel recently, and have been delighted. I love your respect for quality without pretension--that you review value for dollar honestly, whether a rolex or a timex. Thank you!
I bought the 38mm Navi based on your review, and wear it on all my military holiday's and anniversaries (I'm a veteran from the US 82nd Airborne Division, that's a "Para" for Hugo😉). I remember well your comment "Imagine if they made this in an automatic" and practically jumped in the air when I got the announcement for it. Please do a full review because this is probably my next watch!
Your videos are the best! Tally Ho! I have been watching your videos for a while now. Being a watch nut since I first saw a divers watch displayed underwater in a small tank of water in our local Sears store. My first watch was a small Timex in the 60’s which had gotten wet and stopped. Second was a “Kiezle” (not sure the spelling is correct) it was antimagnetic and shookproof, third was a Seiko automatic which was water resistant. Sadly it was stolen. My father was a submariner in the US Navy so all my watches were non US purchases. I am and have been a Seiko Diver fan boy since 1983 and still own all of them. Keep the videos coming! Sorry, a little wordy...coffee induced! And then!
Funny, entertaining, informative, innovative, and thanks for reviewing my preferred brand of a daily beater. Look forward to your next video. Oh I am also a knife collector and enjoyed the interjection of your Spyderco knife.
But the size of that Coffee Mug!!! You could get a week's supply in that lolz. Hey this is a jolly cracking watch for $250! The green is somehow refined and stunning at the same time. The design is sweet. One interesting point....the sticker on the back says "Movmt Japan, Strap China", but the strap says its made in USA. I would love to see Timex issue an Auto version of their GMT. It was great to hear Hugo's wonderful voice again !Great video thanks :)
Sitting on my wrist right now. I want to like it, but the acrylic lens is not very clear, keeps me from appreciating the beauty of dial unless I am in bright sunlight. I would have liked a beveled channel as well (if that is what it's called). I am a fan of the strap, though. The green is gorgeous in the sun. And the color of the lume is really nice.
Hugo! Always a good laugh sir! Patek as a "beater"... I wish I had it like that! My mid-range collection would be amazing! I think it was about 2 weeks ago when I got a notification about a story regarding the new Timex Navi having an automatic movement and I couldn't be more excited! Caught me at a bad time financially since I just had to splurge on a few items that I needed for work purposes! 😒 But, once I'm back in the green I will be snatching one of these up if it's still available on Timex website! Great video as always TGV
I got my original 38mm Navi because of your old review Donkeys ago, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the size at first but now I love it and it has me interested in what something vintage might feel like. Should I get rid of it and upgrade to the automatic?
Hmmm, that is a tough one. Well, how often do you wear your Navi? Thank you for the correct use of "donkeys" too :D I have to say, I miss my Navi, I can't even remember what I did with it! Best regards, TGV
Yet another superlative video TGV, keep up your great work! Please tell Hugo he still owes me money...would rather not say what he hired me to do for him.
Good morning TGV, Like to see Hugo made it back to the show. Having a Patek for a beater is just pure class. As for the Timex, I like the hour Hand and the general Vintage approach, they are following with this watch. Looks classy vintage but not dated. Have a good day!
I got mine Timex NaviTimer 2 day after they release it. I fell in love with the green color. I don't know what Timex is doing, but whatever it is. Timex keep up the good work.
Agreed, this is a lovely watch. Good on Timex for getting back into proper watch manufacturing. Great video TGV, thanks for all the work you put into your channel. Hugo rocks.
That is a handsome watch. Clean, with it's own bits of identity. I would have liked to have seen 200m and a screw-down crown, but this is a good start.
I always used Timex during my time on board ship and thru-out my career in the CG. Was very interested in their automatic movement. Please review more. Thank you. PS, great vid. Glad you’re back at it!
I bought the original 38 mm soon after your review and I love it. Very tempted to grab this one too. Not sure yet but it's a beauty! Timex is on quite a roll lately! Nice review 👍
I thought Hugo did a nice job! For any Timex, is it best to order off their website or is there a retail dealer, Amazon, etc., where it might be a lower price? What do you suggest Governor?

Just in case you didn't know (and you probably do) if you get a small black light to shine on the lume it charges it to max instantly. Good for testing how bright it can be.

Hi TGV Incredible value for money I suppose...!?! But a diver style watch more than a genuine diver. On the other hand, most people don’t even do the dishes with a watch on😂 The green dail? An uncommon choice for a diver, reminds me of the limited edition Omega 300 Jacques Mayol in color tone. A watch I was very keen on but unfortunately it was only made in 36mm. Beautiful love the dial and that second hand. Loved the piece with Hugo right at the end were you stare straight at the camera in exasperation classic Oliver Hardy moment. Haha

Yes It'll make a beater watch, but you won't beat the watch, you beat yourself for buying such an expensive watch. 😆

Not many channels have a Timex and a Patek in the same video. Total lack of watch snobbery on this channel which is refreshing and great to see 👍
