As I sit in hospital with a dislocated hip from EV accident - please wear elbow, hip, shoulder, high top sneaker ankle protection, especially when you are off to do a speed test on a wheel you suspect of cut-off. You can always replace the wheel, but you only get one body.
Absolutely, I used to be guilty of not fully gearing up. even been as foolish as to smack my my 16x to tilt back barefoot with nothing but shorts and t-shirt in the past. have thin smartened up and I now fully Gear Up no matter what. Hope you make a full recovery quickly and get back out there
Hope you get well very soon. Although a dislocated hip is very serious. And can nag you for a long time. I ride motor and had several accidents. A dislocated hip aswell, broken bones. But also broke four of my spines. Had to stay in a speccially made harness for 6 months. Strenghten your muscles around your hip with very precise exercise. But build this up very slow. Cause it takes a few weeks for a lot of muscle loss. And this can keep you in a loop of pain. I hope that you are lucky and not experience the pain for so long as i had. Try to start walking and try to be aware how you walk. And also try not to adjust the way you put out your legs in front of you by the pain. And try to stretch out your legs while walking as long as you can. Otherwise your muscles will shorten. Listen to the pain and do not listen to the pain. It is a contradiction but a ballarina has to endure a lot while setting her goal. And watch out with certain painkillers like the opium based ones. Like Oxycodone or Oxycontin. Pain is better. Take good care. Wait, heal and when you can again walk and build your body up again. A few weeks later start doing exercises.

As soon as allowed by doctors to exceed "toe down only" weight on the injured side foot, I will begin walking, very consciously with regard to form. Am no stranger to pain and, as you say, am riding the line between pushing past comfort and exacerbating the injury. People ask if I will ride EV's again. (I do e-scooter, e-bike and EUC, all depending on required range and weather). While I will have to do a "cost benefit analysis", weighing the actual risk as my condition improves, I also do have in mind that people who have been injured in car accidents seldom swear off of ever riding in a car again. Everything is a calculated risk. I use EV's to commute, real practical usage, so unless there is a new and outstanding risk of hurting myself especially badly as compared to before, I hope and expect to ride again. Aside from not falling is there any good way to fall that you would have changed? Hands out? Rolled to the side? Just leaned back as much as possible? I know we only get a half second to think about it but in while racing motorcycles they say if you know you'll crash loosen up and try to slide on your back. Is it the same?

I had all the protective gear on, but I would highly recommend that you get good ankle support!!!!!! It’s been 6 weeks after my surgery and i still can barley stand on my foot. Starting PT as of this week, so hopefully I’ll ge better soon! After i heal up, I’m looking forward to ride again. Just got the V12ht, but didn’t even open the box yet. So please, wear good ankle support shoes!!!!!!!!
I just got my V12 HT yesterday, and yes, the Torque is crazy compare with my kingsong S18, the first time I ride the V12 HT, it made a turn, but left me behind, I fell at the first turn lol. this is something the KSS18 can not do, I am so excited, I am going out for another ride now. great video bro!!!

I read somewhere the INMOTION has stated the replacement boards will be the same as the boards in the V12 HT and the V12HS produced after April 2022. These will use the 120volt mosfets.

Good video, I hope you make some more. I bought a V12 last December, as my first wheel. Then a week later, the cutout issue surfaced. I don't understand how Inmotion made such a rookie mistake by putting 100v mosfets into a 100v wheel. Especially when other EUC manufacturers have been putting higher volt mosfets in theirs wheels for quite some time.

my v12 was the very first batch released in China, within 1500km the wheel was sent back to factory twice, first time they changed the main board, second they changed the drive board. you have to keep an eye on the motor temperature as well as the board temperature on this wheel if you do more than 30km on a single range, or climbing up hill for over 5miles on a single run. mine got up to 90°c on one occasion and damaged the temperature reading component on the drive board, when it dose, the wheel will say overload, please get off
This is a little off topic but I'd really like your opinion on the safety of the RSHT, i purchased mine in April and although I've had NO problems with it i have anxiety about the safety of having it due to Begodes history of wheels and FIRE! I'm thinking of returning it and investing in inmotion v12 for ease of mind. What are your thoughts my friend! Love your content thank you!
Wanted to buy the V12. Now i am not so sure. I will wait and see what the 120 V mobo will bring. And when this takes to long then i choose another option. Cause i do not want to drop at a high speed so suddenly. Although i will use proper gear. The chance of really hurting yourself is still very high. And there is no chance in getting Immotion accountable for the accident. There is also a high chance that others can get hurt in traffic.
My V12 is running great. No cut-outs yet, but I keep it in commuting mode. Were you in off road when you cut out? Looks like crazy traffic where you live, but beautiful jungles.
My riding style is quite aggressive, but the cut-out happened when the wheel hit a speed bump when ridden in a super slow speed. The same pattern is experienced by several other V12 riders

So bottomline, do you prefer the V12 or the RSt? I would think the RS being almost a 20" tire with the knobby will be more comfortable & with more torque, perhaps better offroad. By offroad I mean gnarly technical mtb single tracks. Ofcos the 16" V12 should be more nimble. Personally I chose the RSt over the V12 & no regrets. I swapped the stock CST streets for a Duro hf307 & lov how it rides both on asphalt & dirt. Since you have both, I'm curious about your personal views.
If I can only have one, and the option is only RS HT and V12, I would pick the V12, because I will need a wheel that will work to be ridden for my daily mobility. The V12 has enough range for it, more-than-enough speed for it, comfortable, and I have confidence to ride it in rain. But if I could have three wheels, two of them need to be the V12 and RS HT, and another one is a long-ranged wheel. The RS HT has a crazy torque and weights less than any other high-performance wheels. So I badly need this wheel.
@@Petranodon Ya that's what thought. The V12 might be the best allrounder in its class but IMO 16" is just a bit too small with too little tire choices. I ride wheels mainly for recreation & rain isn't much of a thing where I am (snow otoh 🥶). Lov lov riding the RSt as its like a sportbike on the bikepaths & a enduro on dirt. I was going to get a RS 19 high speed from ewheels a while ago. But they told me they suspended sales cuz of the screw holds breaking off on the inner shells and they weren't going to start selling them again until they got sent improved shells

Lost a bit of respect for Chooch because he clearly and admittedly rode the beeps past the max and then blamed the wheel. Also hated on the same screen that he loved when it was the original V12. I know he was angry in the moment, so I'm soft in my judgement, but proves we have to be careful about what to believe from reviewers.
I wouldn't even trust riding them in highway. Imagine your wheel Cut out and your body is on the Ground while the Cars don't see you and you get Run over because of a Cut out. Fu*k that I will just ride on the Shoulders
I would never trust any wheel made by InMotion. Unreliable cheap batteries that don't last, no easy way to replace them, and their design for the V12 take a ton of damage when you inevitably fall. The display cracks and wheel falls apart too easily
Still better assembly than any other wheels. True about the sub par quality case and batteries, but what do you expect, it is made of Chinium. Always expect them to fail and prepare for it.

Talking to quiet, music to loud and doesn't provide any info in a review. This style of editing is used a lot but at least for me does not make for an enjoyable video to watch. Made it about 1/2 way through then got tired of adjusting the volume. Maybe talk your review over your footage and have background music to fill in the quiet moments.

Yes, true. It's really disappointing, since one of the strongest reason of choosing Inmotion wheels is the quality they offer.

It depends on the riding style of the riders. Since I love maneuver, I love the high pedal clearance!
I have mine on the high pedal setting, I never scrape pedals, but it does wobble pretty good because of that.

I would never trust any wheel made by InMotion. Unreliable cheap batteries that don't last, no easy way to replace them, and their design for the V12 take a ton of damage when you inevitably fall. The display cracks and wheel falls apart too easily
Still better assembly than any other wheels. True about the sub par quality case and batteries, but what do you expect, it is made of Chinium. Always expect them to fail and prepare for it.

Talking to quiet, music to loud and doesn't provide any info in a review. This style of editing is used a lot but at least for me does not make for an enjoyable video to watch. Made it about 1/2 way through then got tired of adjusting the volume. Maybe talk your review over your footage and have background music to fill in the quiet moments.
