I cannot overstate how good this info was. I remember being a new player and really struggling to find definitive info on the special rock paper scissors qualities of some units. Like the Imperial Pike Guard or Muskets dazing cavalry charges. Good stuff!!!!!
This is my first time watching your video and it is very informative. I have also gone through ur video lists and I have to say they are all very helpful. Shame CB is not popular enough to get u enough views.
I just have to mention the 2 Hybrid missile units: Javelins, and Ironcap Bowriders. Javs are just a good all around Skirmisher. They can use a good position to soften up high threat units from relative safety, and rush Archers to take them out in melee. You really have to know how to use them, though. ICBRs have an easy counter: Light Cavalry. Unfortunately, most players don't use light cavalry, they use shock cavalry. Their mobility coupled with their range can allow then to hit way above their level, but they're still limited by how far they can progress. They also require an open field to take advantage of both. In built up areas, they can't maneuver, and their sight gets blocked, limiting their only advantages.
Nice video! I do have a question, in the video you said that the Monastics get the ability to not get stunned or dazed during there charge. But when i look into there veterancy line i dont see anything that says that it will prefent that. Or am i missing something?
Monastics do get stunned during their charge, the hussars won't if you got the bottom line and you get them elite. But, no cav can charge into pikes. Maybe pike militia but that's it. So always look for a flanking upportunity or on certain maps, know where pikes will be out of there brace and find the right moment to charge your cav.
@@unfitchaos2618 I put my elite halbardiers Sargents in f2. 2 hold position ... They die horribly, the golden Calvary sweep me off the ground... I was like WTF what do I do?
Depends the cavalry and what level they are. Also the level of your unit. Halberdier sergeants may not survive, but they will deal massive damage to them. Some cav just take 2 or 3 units to stop them. I can explain better in DC or stream
I know I’m a bit late, but if someone sees this comment, please tell me how to counter Berserkers I don’t get it, pikes seems to be good, but I’m new so i don’t know really what to do
1on1 bezerkers will kill anything, calvary might be able but i am not sure, the best way to counter bezerkers is to play and push as a team, size over power always💪
Javelins are really fun units. Not gonna lie I overlooked them in the video. They are unique in their use as a harasser and warlord sniper. So they don't fit in a unit type. They don't act as a hard counter for other unit types, they can't get past shield walls, and can be countered by shock troops. Great unit for those that are good at flanking, harassing, or punishing warlords that separate from support
@@unfitchaos2618 Javelins can absolutely destroy an IPG advance tho, given that theres no Shields advancing with the IPGs. But I still think this video is a good enough overview, Javelins are usually not for beginners anyway as there are much more important units to get early, and by the point a player goes for Javelins they should have enough experience in the game to know whats up.
@@Jixxor Thanks for the feedback! Your right that Javelins can be used to hinder an IPG advance, I'm mostly getting at the fact they are not played like any other unit. They kinda fit into the support role, since as I said they are great at harassing and flanking. I would agree that beginners have other units that are more important to get early. I also feel they experience is needed since Javelins are such a different animal to use. Similar to how you can tell a players is new to Cavalry. The way they move gives it away.
Lmao, you clearly have no idea how op imp archer unit is do you. It is still op even though it was nerfed. my imp archer average 110unit kills per match

Great video for new players. Would love to see an updated one for the current season. Subbed!
Very good info. Everybody focuses on tier 4/5 units its nice that low level units get some mentions for their niche roles.
Not only that, but this is for Beginners. Beginners don't have Winged Hussars.

Such an underrated channel. Subbed
Hope more people see this and join us to the game :)

Thx for the guide!!
what about polearm units
Mrmyilions are also good shield shock unit with active block best shield unit probablly
Would be better if the video show example of using unit rather than this. What the video show has nothing to do with what you're talking about
Thanks for the feedback. This is more of an overview video and I plan to do more in depth with the types.
@@unfitchaos2618 looking forward to see it 👍

Where do helbeders fit tho?
hey can someone some good units against shield walls like expedition knights
good videos. subscribed
i just found you channel.
Keep up the good work please.
Thanks
That's why i love the halebards
lets be honest, gold cav kills everything
lol my maxed out pike militia kills every T5 cav, and only cost 110 leadership
@@SupremeSanda nop they'll get crush by hussars
What are halbediers and landsharks?
They are similar to a shock troop with their charge and dps.
How do I stop golden Calvary?????
Depends the situation, but advancing Imperial Pikes when they charge is good. Also Halberdier Sergeants in F2 formation will do great damage as well.

They are their own beast. They fall into a support type. I will eventually do an entire video on them

This is what counters what, so (unit) counters winged hussars
imperial archers are good for pretty much everything
he forgot all the good units lmao
The video is pretty old at this point. All the units you're thinking of are probably newer. Or were bad at the time. Lol
