My local "rock station" can't even stick to that 30 year thing. It was cool when it first started up, but we're 25 yrs past that date now and the songs they play are NOT 25 yrs newer 😑
Yeah. What’s with this these alt rock stations that don’t play any cool new music? They play shit like imagine dragons and classic stuff.

We saw beabadoobee live in LA and she can actually really rock. Like heavy grunge. It was awesome! But then she can mix it up with bubbly jangles. Very fun artist and band.

Love that KEXP is always putting on women from around the world
they mute beas guitar because her way of playing the chord progression is wrong. it’s meant to be an Em but she plays an E using drop D tuning which is why you can never hear her guitar

yeah i think bea's guitar is supposed to be crunchier, it sounds totally clean here. jacob's guitar should also be up but everything else sounds good
I'm no audio surgeon, but I thought the same as I listened... Past KEXP sessions seem a lot more... vibrant 😒
She does this thing where she tunes to some sort of open tuning and plays chords with one finger - lots of garbage players do it (mostly female) - if one of the strings is a tiny bit out it sounds terrible so I think this is why they have buried it.
@@ryangosling135 ignoring the mostly female remark, Bea can definitely play guitar. You can see that in old acoustic videos, it’s just the song only requires some really simple rhythm guitar and nothing more. The mix really is the issue here
