Here is a fun piece of lore for you jagers mark 1-3 where defensive fighters being heavily armed and armored but slower while 4 and up are sleeker and faster but not as durable. Along with 1-3 were all nuclear powered but suffered from poor shielding of the reactors. You can think of it like a ww2 battleship vs a modern destroyer. First ones can take a hit but give one back but is slower while the new ones are more like glass cannons trying to make sure there enemy can never give a good hit on them.
@@tristanbentz224 In the second movie the Jaegers are more advanced but are mostly glass cannons if you compare them to the absolute tanks that were the Jaegers of the first movie

I really wish I could’ve reacted to them learning about the 2 person, piloting system, and also about like where the kaiju in this universe came from Also, even if they had these giant robots, it would be useless against the versions of kaiju that they fight because of the ability that they have to regenerate if the core is still intact I mean, maybe it could be useful for the cleanup crew allow them to get rid of larger parts of the dead kaiju faster but other than that I don’t really see them being super useful
A shame a sequel never made.... it rly didnt. Seriously. There was no 2nd movie.... The plot aint good for the 2nd, atleast the jaguer models are good... most of em

Yeah, you kinda can see that in hiw much punishment Gipsy can take compared to more modern Jaegers in the first movie

If they can build and entire military with weapons strong enough to take down kaiju, and city destroying cannons, they could build a Jager no problem.
But would it be as effective as in Pacific Rim ?, because there are some Kaijus in Kaiju 8 that aren't fricking giants
