I usually use a clean cotton sheet for all my ironing. I place my embroidery face down and iron it that way.

I'm going to have to trade in my terry cloth towel for a pillow case!
I iron my pieces when they are dry, especially to iron out creases from the hoop and nurge hoop. I notice when I iron directly on my Aida cloth, it discolours the Aida. It then looks brown like I have scorched it. Thankfully this is only on the back, so I haven't ruined projects!
Another great video, though! I find the videos informative and entertaining!

Lookout! The cross stitch police will be all over you for ironing on the right side of the fabric. Personally, I think whatever makes it pretty for you is the right way.
How do you keep the nozzle on that spray glue from clogging? I love the stuff but find its unusable after the first couple of projects.
    Hi Nugget!

Ironing while damp keeps the fabric from scorching.
The directions say to turn it upside down and spray it until it stops spraying glue after each use to clear the nozzle. So far that has worked (and my can is nearly empty).
      Thanks for watching!

What are you washing them in? Why do you need to wash it? I am terrified the colors of the floss will run!

I have an iron but no ironing board. Did you use an ironing board or just the pillowcase and a table. The pillowcase is a good idea. I was thinking of using the top of my washing machine. I was going to use an ironing pad but it has quilting on it. So I want to use the pillowcase. Is it safe to just use a pillowcase on the table or washing machine? Thanks. Love your videos!

I would avoid ironing on any surface heat could damage, especially wood, but I've ironed on my granite countertops before just fine. I have a small ironing board that's meant to sit on a table top. Takes up much less space and easier to set up!
      Thanks for watching!

How come you don’t iron the pillow slip when you flip your picture over? It is damp

I leave that moisture there on purpose. The heat will go through the piece and turn that moisture to steam to help me with that final press to remove creases. Thanks for watching!
