I like using a Sewline mechanical pencil to mark my grids, it comes with colored ceramic leads meant to mark up fabric. It’s easy to use, washes out completely and it can be erased with a white eraser(though it doesn’t come out completely that way). Actually I find my grids fade a bit as I’m working from contact. They’re a bit pricey because it’s a Japanese brand, but I believe Dritz and a couple other companies make them as well. Not sure the quality though.

That sounds like a perfect tool! I will definitely have to try that one of these days
Hello. I have just subscribed. I am getting back into cross stitch after 10 years of almost exclusively quilting.
Thank you for subscribing! And welcome back to the world of cross stitch, we’re glad to have you 😊
Very helpful, thank you
I’m so glad it was helpful!
I find the quality of easy count fabric isn't as nice. I think it's best for full coverage projects.
That makes sense to me! I haven’t tried it, but it’s not surprising that it’s lower quality
Way too fast
So sorry this was too fast for you! Is there any specific part that would be helpful to see slower?
