YOU ARE DA MAN!!!!! Had to re-connect my car battery and the windows wouldn't roll up. Your vid fixed the problem without having to go the dealer... Thanks for sharing the info.....2018 Dodge Challenger R/T
OMG! You the real MVP my brother,my window was doing the 1/4 inch going down and up on its own after I've locked the door,I tried your 10 second trick and it worked, much peace n love, may blessings be upon you!
I just did it. Because my wife dow would crack 1/4 at times when I would be driving. And tonight it got stuck in the down motion. I followed your instructions. And I'm so amazed how your guidance and tricks worked. Thaks so much.
My window has been driving me nuts on my 2011 Challenger SRT and it got to the point where i had to jump start it because it drained my battery, that went on for 3 days because i had to wait for my dealer appointment and it was my daily driver.. I tried the half way down method and it worked!!! Thanks brother! You rock!!
Thank you!! The pushing down ten times method fixed my issue. My 2012 R/T seems to get this problem once every few months. I've had it corrected at the dealership once, but usually it would fix itself after a few weeks but lowering the window a touch every time I got out is a pain in the ass.
Noticed yesterday my passenger side wasn’t working like it’s sposed to ,had my windows tinted last week so I figured I knocked something loose, just ran out and tried your fix it worked perfect!,thanks!
Dude the 10x trick actually worked!! And its rainy season here. Thanks a bunch, I already hate my Challenger, I'll always hate this hunk of shit. But this video saved me alot of trouble and save a dealership worker from getting yelled at! Thanks a bunch!!
This trick works! Another one I've found helpful with our 2010 is holding the window up button and while holding it in the up position open the door (window will go down) then close the door (window goes back up) and it's reset. Just make sure the car is either in run mode or just turned on completely and hold the window up the whole time
Thanks bro. I was about to bring my car one hour North to the dealership to fix this problem. But I followed your instructions and it is now working properly. Thanks.
I ended up buying a new window module.. and another part.. I think it was called a switch or something for the window from the Dodge Dealership.. costed me like $350 Canadian dollars.. regularly $700 with installation. SMH. even though the Challengers are built 30 mins drive West from the dealership.. SMH. Anyways thanks. Once I replaced the module, the windows have been working fine.
i replaced both modules and my window will go up and down that 1/4 inch when the car is off. and its killing my battery. i've tried this calibration trick, but in the drivers seat. ill try it in the passenger seat (where it is being affected)
Codie Linendoll you ever get the problem fixed? this is the exact same problem I'm having. car will be off and door shut, but the window keeps going up and down about half an inch
I tried the half way down method. held the button down to 2 sec. and up for 2 sec. worked like a charm - Fix problem with 1/4" window close problem. Thank you!
Thank you sooo much bro!!! My drivers side window stopped working for no reason at all today. I was thinking I'd have to take it to a shop to have somebody reprogram it. The roll it down and hold for 30 seconds, roll it up and hold 30 seconds method fixed mine
Bout to go check this out myself if i hit a bump while the the window goes up it goes back down like the safety feature. I rolled it up it made a loud click when it fully closed. Now all i hear is the switch when i click the button but the window wont budge.
I have a 2017 Dodge Challenger SXT. My passenger side window would go down the usual 1/4th inch automatically when opening, but not go back up when closing. My window was affected by winter ice. The SECOND method (Half way down, all the way up (2 sec hold) all the way down (2 sec hold), all the way back up) WORKED for me. Thanks for this video man as I DID NOT want to go to the dealership lol. 🙏🏾
I have a 17sxt plus and this is currently my issue. I tried other methods but I’m going to try the 10Xs down and up, if it continues I will try the down and up 2sec method. Also, my window used to stay closed when I did remote start but now it opens 1/4 way which never did in the beginning
I have a 17 sxt plus and I tried holding it down for 45 sec and then up but I kept having issues. I’m going to try this method down 2 sec and up 2 sec or down and up10Xs. Whichever works. Hasn’t drained my battery yet. I’ve had to jump out the passenger side so driver window can stay closed 😂
Exactly the same thing happened to me, on my 2016 RT. After putting in new battery, glass on window (driver side) would not back down 1/4" to seal window when opening and closing door. I kept trying different tricks, until I did the hold/release 10 times, and it work for me too. I did heard a click sound both times.
Super dope! . Thank you. I have an 2011 Dodge Charger. The button broke off And this helped out a lot with my nail filer 😝. It’s after business hours. And it’s about to rain. First thing AM.........dealership
Guys I had the problem in which my car window would go up and down 1/4 inch when it was off, I changed the window module 3 times and nothing happened until I switched the actual control to open and close the windows and it worked. Hope this is useful!
I have a 2017 sxt plus. Hasn’t drained my battery yet but I have to get out from passenger side so it stays closed. When I do remote start, the window used to stay sealed/closed but now it opens 1/4 way. Ima try this method pushing down and up 10Xs. Don’t want to take it to dealer yet
My 2012 Challenger would not go up or down the 1/4” that it used to do. Thanks to your “trick,” I got it to work again! I also had new speakers installed, maybe that was my problem also. Thanks again!
Yeah that’s great to hear that it’s working again, also unless you disconnected the modules for the windows it could possibly be the issue but if you didn’t well it is a well known issue.
thank you bro my shits been buggin me for years! it happened once then went away so i didnt sweat it but then recently it started happening in november. I find it happens to my car during the colder months.
I will try it on my 2015 Challenger. I got windows tinted and now my passenger window doesn't go up or down. 😕 I will try it and see if it works. Thank your for the tricks.
First of all thank you for getting me on the right track. The method that worked for me was 30 second hold down to reset system. Then up to middle position. then up all the way, hold button for 2 seconds, down all the way, hold button for 2 seconds, then go up again to close the window. Now it should do the 1//4 inch down thing when you open then door, followed by the 1/4 up thing when you close the door.
I thought I found something that was press down 3 times and hold until it's down, then pull up 10 or 11 times, thought it was ridiculous but it worked back when I owned a 2010 when the window didn't move down that 1/2".
I have been having the window problem for about 4 months now. Started when I drove on top of a curb. On rare occasions the driver window would come down on its own while im driving on the highway, worse when it rains and I have to keep pushing the button to keep it up until I pull over and turn the car off. Then one day boom, it wouldnt go back up completely. Took it to the dealer and they said it was a sensor in the door and the car couldnt recognize if the door was closed or not, $350 to fix so long story short it hasnt gotten fixed after a few months. Got tired of getting out and coming around to the passenger side, pressing the push start to roll the driver side window up all the way. Something just told me to youtube it after reading about it may be the door latch that needs to be replaced. I will be trying all of this tomorrow morning and give you an update.
I did the 30 second trick and it worked to fix my driver's side window that was going up and down by itself before it quit going up after closing the door. Thanks for this.
I just had my door replaced and module worked before I changed the door. Now the drivers window won’t go up or down the 1/4 inch with same module .I have a 2015 R/T. I did the check engine light trick, that didn’t change it either. I can’t tap the drivers widow switch down 10 times as they are auto.
@@Akarolo25I use the one the video owner used, window switch (without the automatic function) click 10 times down, than 10 times up but on the tenth click, hold it up until the window goes completely up. Open door and close door to make sure it works. It took me 2 tries. 2018 dodge challenger. Hope it works for you. Let me know.
Hi, i was trying to calibrate my window because auto up doesn't work when I close the door (auto down is working). It was working fine few days ago. Could it be the the part is broken and which part is responsible for that? If yes, please guide me how to open the door and replace the mechanism. Many many thanks!
So I was desperate. My car windows were going up and down that 1/4 in. even after car was off... I saw this video, tried it, and laughed and laughed cuz this worked like a dream. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
I'm having the 1/4 inch problem. A friend of mine & I tried this and no luck. I have a 2013 sxt model. If you see this in time, I'd really value you opinion.
My 2012 challenger rt is doing the same it has automatic windows and wouldn’t let me do the 10 clicks trick ! Is very frustrating to have to deal with this on the rain season! Not even one trick seems to work
Try to do an extra second or so you might be counting too fast? 🤷🏻♂️ If still no tricks seem to work the modules need to be replaced. Rain season sucks with this handle sensors that’s the main problem here.
thanks for making the video plaayaa.. has anyone had problem with the buckle not allowing seat belt to go in is like its ALREADY locked with the belt in...tjat part cost dam near 300.00 at dodge house
I have a similar but different thing. Mine is not going the last little bit AND I hear it 'trying' to close about 2-3 tines a second, when the door is closed and the window is supposed to be up, all the way... Any ideas????
@triple_threat_lightz Thanks. I finally got it reset last night. I had tried a couple of the methods with the motor running. I had forgotten which ones I'd tried and started over with the ignition on/motor off. At some point, it reset and fixed itself! I appreciate the video and I am glad it's working but makes me worry. I don't know if I will have this car when it gets as old as my 1966 Ford Fairlane. They both haul arse but I don't think the Challenger computers will be resetting when she turns 58. Ya'll Take Care, John
I had to get the same issue fixed at a dodge dealership. Mine was from a faulty door hinge. Which is common with this year. It will drain your battery for sure. They have a service bulletin on it but no re call. Just means they know about it but wont fix it for free.
Hi Thanks for the video.Question my 2013 auto down sometimes works, sometime not...but will work in normal hold the switch mode.how do you calibrate the auto down mode. I am not sure I got what you said. thanks.
It ordered to get the auto down function to work or recalibrate you have to roll window up and once it’s shut all the way up you hold the window button up all the way and count 10 sec and the auto function should work after that.
Wow Thank you for the fast reply. you rock.Maybe you may have an idea for this one too. On my 2013 Challenger the driver heated seat goes on a few seconds and clicks off.... after numerous tries it seems to eventually stay on for a while. this is a hit and miss that it may work. passenger side is fine. thank you again
Ok I had the issue with the window going up and down killing my battery,..replaced the actuator(latch assembly) and it fixed the problem. Now I'm having a issue were it drops 1/4in when opening but doesn't go up after closing it. When I press up on the switch nothing happens, but the down button dropped it down further. What should I try
Have to try and reprogram the module if none of the steps I mentioned in the video then you need anew module for the doors and only dealer can gif it to you and install since you have to get them programmed to your car.
Here's another little trick for y'all. Turn key from off to on 3 times without ever starting the engine and look at the cluster to show any codes your car might have causing check engine like to be on. But note that this will also clear the code so be ready to write them down!
For my 2021 scat pac it didn’t work. We unplugged the battery for hail damage repairs and then the window didn’t seal or go down when opening and closing the door iv tried about 10 different ways and it still doesn’t work. Can anyone help?
Just got the 2018 Challenger 3-4 weeks ago, brand new. My passenger window will go down all the way, which seems to be lower than it's supposed to, and it makes a "thud" sound. Then when I try to put the window back up, it gets caught under the fabric/liner. It appears that the fabric/liner on the passenger window is raised slightly higher than what it's supposed to be. Any solutions? Please help! Thank you!
Will have to modify the fabric/liner it be best to have another vehicle similar to yours if you have a friend or someone you know that has one so you can compare the two and see where it has to be if doing the alignment on those pieces still don’t fix the issue you might wanna y’all to the service department at the dealer you bought if from if you got it from a dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/ram dealer if you didn’t I would look for one close to your home and talk to them about it if there is something wrong from factory they should fix it under warranty as long as it’s got coverage probably has a basic warranty of 36k miles for bumper to bumper.
2011 challenger srt was doing this, guys told me it was the latch, bought it for 140 and replaced my self. Now the window takes some time to go down i order for me to open door. What do method do yu think i should try? Maybe do u think it has relearn process?

Now it should do the 1//4 inch down thing when you open then door, followed by the 1/4 up thing when you close the door.

Does it do it on both windows or just one of them?
Thank You so Much ⭐️💯
I’ve tried both ways. Is there maybe another method you know of? When I close the drivers door it won’t seal.
If even after doing these methods don’t work need to change the module.
Update: took my car to dealership. They had to erase and reprogram module. And now window drops 1/4 inch. $75 and well worth it!
my driver window doesnt closes but doesnt close all the way. and when i close the door it doesnt close the rest of the way up like its suppose to
I feel your pain...
Francisco Aquino I am having the same issue
How did u fix it?
♤
Theirs a recall on that, had mine done on a 2011 challenger.
Just fixed mines. Thanks for the the tip💯
YES!!! Thank you!!! It worked on mine!!!!
My 2012 challenger rt is doing the same it has automatic windows and wouldn’t let me do the 10 clicks trick ! Is very frustrating to have to deal with this on the rain season! Not even one trick seems to work
Try to do an extra second or so you might be counting too fast? 🤷🏻♂️
If still no tricks seem to work the modules need to be replaced. Rain season sucks with this handle sensors that’s the main problem here.
the second method u did worked for me . thanks for the tip. u rock
Jonathan R awesome 👏🏼 glad to hear.
does it matter which window you recalibrate if both windows are doing this?
Yes. You have to do each window. Each window has its own module.
thanks for making the video plaayaa..
has anyone had problem with the buckle not allowing seat belt to go in is like its ALREADY locked with the belt in...tjat part cost dam near 300.00 at dodge house
Never had a problem with that, have checked and make sure there’s nothing inside of it like trash etc.
@@triple_threat_lightz yea..nothing in there
I have a similar but different thing. Mine is not going the last little bit AND I hear it 'trying' to close about 2-3 tines a second, when the door is closed and the window is supposed to be up, all the way...
Any ideas????
Try resetting / relearn the module with the steps I mentioned, if still won’t do it and your problem persists maybe you need a new module.
@triple_threat_lightz Thanks.
The only recall I ever got n heard of was for the exterior door handle
Try getting a new module fo it. Or check and make sure it’s connected all the way under the seat. If not I would check the fuses for it.
Going to try this for my '12, Thank you for the video info.
Your welcome 🙏
Ok I had the issue with the window going up and down killing my battery,..replaced the actuator(latch assembly) and it fixed the problem. Now I'm having a issue were it drops 1/4in when opening but doesn't go up after closing it. When I press up on the switch nothing happens, but the down button dropped it down further. What should I try
How to make the window stop going down and up
Have to try and reprogram the module if none of the steps I mentioned in the video then you need anew module for the doors and only dealer can gif it to you and install since you have to get them programmed to your car.
I recently had this issue and I think it’s fixed now after I did the down and up 2 seconds
Glad it worked 👏
So far no problems on my 2010 RT with 101,000 miles. Can you post the Web site where you found this in the comment section?
Challenger RT Driver I will do. There’s plenty more tricks for the challengers.
Worked on my 2012 👍🏾
Are there more tricks like this? likes the full stability control turn off with a five seconds push of the button?
Here's another little trick for y'all. Turn key from off to on 3 times without ever starting the engine and look at the cluster to show any codes your car might have causing check engine like to be on. But note that this will also clear the code so be ready to write them down!
What about if the window keeps going up and down the 1/4 inch. Can you help me with that.
just have to get it to re calibrate the window that is acting up.
For my 2021 scat pac it didn’t work. We unplugged the battery for hail damage repairs and then the window didn’t seal or go down when opening and closing the door iv tried about 10 different ways and it still doesn’t work. Can anyone help?
If none of this tips n tricks to reset it helped only chance is to take it to dealer, you should be covered under warranty being that it’s a 2021.
@@triple_threat_lightz thanks 🙏🏽

Robert Cantu you can try n have it re learn it or reset it these r the only options there r for fixing issue n re calibration
