I'm just now getting the news that Charles has passed away, I want to send my prayers, well wishes, and condolences to his family. I'm really going to miss watching him plinking targets in the backyard, he inspired me to make several airgun purchases, and I now get to enjoy them in my backyard like he did. Happiness is as simple as just doing something that makes you happy, there's no big secret to being happy, just do what makes you feel good, and try to find that thing that gives you peace, and Charles knew that, and he indirectly taught me that through watching his videos, something as simple as watching a guy in his backyard shooting bb guns got me through some hard times in my life. The world would be a better place if we could all just plink in our backyards and unwind a bit, the world isn't as complicated as it's made out to be, just find that one thing you enjoy and do it, that's all we can ask for in this life, is just a little slice of happiness, love, and peace.... I love the video of you shooting at targets with the air gun. But when I found your channel, you had already crossed the rainbow bridge and gone up to the sky. I wanted to own an air rifle a 1 year ago and watched various videos on the internet. I was very impressed with your videos and I wanted to enjoy shooting like you do. As you probably know, Japan has very strong gun control regulations, and even to buy an air gun, you have to go through a lot of procedures, study, and police investigation. It takes a lot of time to complete these procedures. In the meantime, I had a lot of fun watching Charles videos. After about a year or so, I finally got a permit from the police to own a gun the other day. Your videos have definitely pushed me to this point. I decided to take the liberty of making a comment just to say a small thank you. Charles, thank you so much. I love the way you shoot the target. I bought a brand new a feinwerkbau 300S RT. I was dealing with COVID and being in the Hospital last October/November and his video's turned me back on to an old love of plinking in the backyard. May he rest in peace! I happened to be plinking this evening because I had not in about a year and I remembered Charles firing the Hatsan .30 break barrel which convinced me to get one. So I remembered the channel and just got here to get the horrible news. I felt my blood drop. Rest in peace brother. You were loved by more people than you can imagine. You inspired so many to start plinking and just enjoy the time doing so. Before buying a pellet rifle, I looked to see what the Backyard Plinker thought of it. I had forgotten about this channel until today when I ordered a pellet pistol and I thought "I wonder if Charles has a video on it". when I saw that he hadn't posted in over a year I got this bad feeling and sure enough here it is. Oh no. Somehow, UA-cam I subbed me from all my subs and I could not remember most of them. I happened to be plinking this evening because I had not in about a year and I remembered Charles firing the Hatsan .30 break barrel which convinced me to get one. So I remembered the channel and just got here to get the horrible news. I felt my blood drop. Rest in peace brother. You were loved by more people than you can imagine. You inspired so many to start plinking and just enjoy the time doing so.
Before buying a pellet rifle, I looked to see what the Backyard Plinker thought of it.
I'll miss watching your reviews and listening to your sarcasm.

I found this channel a couple months ago and it reignited my love of airguns. I'm sad to have not been able to talk to Charles over then internet, he seemed like a really awesome, positive person. And he still is spreading positivity, as I (and you all) still watch him weekly, if not daily!

I just found out this young man has died, or rather died some time ago. R.I.P. kind sir. Your videos inspire me so much that next week im buying my first air gun in over 7 years after a mishap. I aint sure yet what im buying but you'll help me choose even from beyond the grave. Amen x
