It just shows the importance of subtleties like harmony and tempo to the emotional focus of a song. Make them more upbeat and a mournful song of someone existentially lost becomes a joyful song of fulfilment and self-realisation.
I love the episode, especially when the cutie mark crusaders got their cutie marks. And the fact they all have the same one shows their strong friendship.

This is really awsome and thank you. Having said that, is there a reason the beginning must be the most annoying thing in the world? The beginning noise and metronome are so loud, and the rest of the song is muted and a bit muffled. I replayed so many times and accidentally would go back too far and about blow my eardrums.
+traxxasftw Ha ha I get complaints for it being too quiet and now I am getting a complaint that it is too loud. The sound level is all relative btw. If you want a version without the unwanted intro and title animation we will hopefully be releasing a WTP version. Or if you want contact me privately via skype or email and Ill send you your own copy of a mp3.
I think it could use more of the varying intensity of the original in the beginning half, though I'm not sure how much of that can be done with synth like this. I'm just saying it comes off as a little samey. Again just for the first half, _it picks up with the awesome reprise._

I’m no master music theorist, but I wonder if part of the reason the reprise sounds different is in part because it seems like most of the notes are full steps, while the original has a ton of half step notes.

I've wanted to have some special colours for a while, but never bothered trying how to do it, mainly because I never know what colours would look cool, only after I've edited my video (and then I'm too lazy to change them :p )
Also beautiful video all around as always and awesome arrangement by DJDelta, he seriously is super good making transcriptions that actually feel good to play on a piano!
(well most of the time, but some songs are just hard making them like that, without losing a lot of the actual song).
