The Treblemakers perform at the finals and Benji (Ben Platt) finally gets his chance to shine.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A feisty coed joins a collegiate a cappella group and upgrades their song selection for the 21st century during the run-up to a major competition in this melodic comedy from Tony-nominated Avenue Q director Jason Moore. Drifting past the various cliques after arriving at college, Beca (Anna Kendrick) pays more attention to the jams pumping in her headphones than the people she passes on her way to class. But all that changes the moment she stumbles into the one place where every misfit has a voice -- the campus a cappella group. Although the competition amongst the singers proves surprisingly fierce, there's just one aspect of the group Beca can't wrap her head around: All of the songs they perform are at least a decade old. Convinced that they can do better by adding some contemporary tunes into the mix, Beca whips up an exciting new set list that will set the group apart and leave their rivals in the dust. All these years later and I finally realized that Ben was doing magician stuff earlier in the movie and of course they would have him sing "Magic"

I have an issue with him playing a teen in the movie version of DEH. Yes he originated the role but he is like 36 playing a 16 year old. They should have cast Andrew Barth Feldman. He's 19. And he knows the role. It would have been more believable.

As a kid I didn't even realize all these little details compared to now. Like when Benji pulls out the microphone from nowhere. Or when he sings and Becca looks proud and happy for him, or when the crowd cheers when he talks about getting the girls and stuff LOL. Such a great film
I had never noticed before how they had Benji freezing and unfreezing the other singers! That was so well coordinated how they had him freeze the guy from behind. They should have won!

Even if it's just for the movie I think they shouldn't have left that group on the side and had them as the bellas main rival group for the series instead of just on the side
