Riff-offs are one of the few things that are very nerdy and corny but also VERY COOL at the same time.
Nobody could compete with the talent of Kendrick. Love her she such a talented singer and actress. Absolutely wonderful woman.

they did go by the rules...the 2nd movies rules
Moonlight Princess nope pp2 followed the rules, it was at the end of the riff off in pp3 that they tried it but the other bands didn’t follow the rules so was a storyline point :)
Del pp2 didn’t follow the same rules the original pp had, example the original pp you had to match the word (ex: in the first movie the bellas got out because they matched it with its and it was incorrect) whereas in the 2nd movie you had to be pointed at and you didn’t have to match the words, in pp3 it goes back to the first movie where you do have to match
in other words pp1&3 you match the words
pp2 you don’t
So we just gonna ignore that filharmonic made this possible? Like.. they were what made this whole thing even entertaining.. they were amazing.

I like how they say its a riff off but one of the main rules for the traditional pitch perfect riff off is you have to pick up at the same word they left off on and they disregarded that rule completely. Its too bad could've made this segment 10x better.

Also, I liked the rules of the riff off from the first movie when they had to sing a song that starts with the last word the other group sang. This new take turns singing songs in this category isn't as challenging or fun to watch :(

Amelia David I just saw the second movie last weekend. I thought it was good, but my friend saw it and thought it wasn't as good. My date laughed so hard and loved the music tho. He wants to rent the first one and watch it now because he's never seen it. I will say that the riff off in the second movie, in my opinion, is disappointing. That was my favorite part of the first movie and the take turns singing a song that has nothing to do with the other groups song aspect was a let down for me.
