Great video Chris. I do have something to say though. The music playing during the podcast is quite distracting. If you're visually watching this video, it works better, but someone like me that listens to podcast during work it kind of distracts from what is being said. I love what you're doing with karate unity and awesome conversation with Erik 👍🏽
@@Wilson_MartialArts thank you brother for the support support and feedback. The podcast was more of a vlog actually as opposed to an audio only podcast. I’m not so familiar with creating audio only podcasts, it’s another thing I need to learn. Thanks again and please continue to watch my content as I’m putting out more these days.
@ hell yeah brother I try and catch all your videos. And yes an audio only version for like Spotify would be awesome. Maybe a weekly podcast along w the normal UA-cam uploads. You could even have two versions really. But keep doing what you're doing. I'm a lifelong karate practitioner and have been Muay Thai for the last 3 years. And have really opened up to the practical bunkai side of things in the last few years, and the stuff you're doing is awesome 👊🏽 come visit Florida sometime would love to train
@ and now you have a friend in Tampa. (I'm Isaac btw) Deland is about two hours from me, but I would definitely be down to attend a seminar if you ever came all the way down here. Or come by the home dojo sometime (ybor city)
I love Sam, I haven’t spoken to him in a long time. I should reconnect. Shout out to Coach Erik and Ralf Beckman. And my dear friends Fransisco and Seraphim. You are legends
@ some of their hands touched my face, Seraphim got a real good accident during a demonstration on me. Never knew a man that size could hit that hard. Everybody in the Room including him was shocked. I stood there like Chris Tucker. Wondering who the hell just hit me 🤣
I wish you had taken this interview in a different direction than all Erik’s other interviews. When he touched upon Silat why didn’t you go down that route and the functionality of it in modern combat. Wing Chun was mentioned with the bjj blend via Kevin’s video but this art also could have been expanded upon. What does Erik think of the power in the punching of WC compare to boxing? So many ways this could have touched things not covered before. Otherwise always good to hear Erik discuss all topics.
Some of the people Erik has trained with…….Rick Faye,Tim Tackett,Dan Inosanto,Larry Hartsell,Ajarn Surachai Sirisute, Guru Saxxon,Guru Pluk,Rob Kamen, Lucia Ryker, Yorinaga Nakamura and Saturo Sayama. Gokar, Marc Preston,Billy Cusack,Rigan,Jean Jacque,John Machado,Rorian,Royce and Rickson,Rico Chiparelli, Dan Henderson,Randy Couture. Charlie Gergen,Freddie Smith. Chad Stahelski, Toshio Fujiwara, Salem Assli,Nicholous Sauvac, Paul De Thours, Pak Herman Sawanda. Interview for Australasian Martial Arts Magazine 1999 volume 6 no.3. by Domenic Amato. Thank you Erik and Chris.
Thanks Lawrence! Some of those instructors I mentioned in the podcast as Erik mentioned them to me. I had a great time talking to him and thank you again for your support, means a lot.
Best Paulson interview ever. He was one of my coaches.
