- In this 24th part of the Main Quest series we cover the process by which you can obtain a nuclear launch code, from tracking down the code pieces and keycard, to the code decryption process.
I made a video covering just the decryption process, you can find it here: • Fallout 76 - Nuclear L...
If you're looking for just the decryption process and not the overall quest walkthrough, you can find it here: ua-cam.com/video/mvqUW4W9Go0/v-deo.html
Thanks cause this video is not for any help at all
Well damn that part is useless in everyway sorry, I have not gotten anything from it.
I think the vids were really helpful
Hey thanks so much man. I hate it when you miss hearing something like Modos or even silly Rose. Not like you can reload your game. So its up to people like you to make videos so we can re hear the audio. Thanks so much.
My codes despawned as soon as I was writing then for decription
That stinks. Happens once a week as the code resets unfortunately. Good luck this week
This guy just made it way more confusing
I have a dedicated video for the decryption process: ua-cam.com/video/mvqUW4W9Go0/v-deo.html
Hopefully it will help you out.
I am having trouble I am a general and it will not let me into the silo since it's saying "lockdown is active something something" HELP
I’m fairly certain that means that silo has been fired recently and is in a cooldown as it rearms
Bro I just did mission Charlie but I don’t have a launch code bruh
Hi, I'm doing alpha I got 8 codes b0, c5, g3, j5, k8, l3, p8, r0, and I got a mission "launch a nuke from any silo (decrypt launch code) but it send me to a tolite on top of a hill with a lift button in side that dose nothing besides gose green, the hand at alpha dosnt do anything either
Thanks
It was likely guiding you to the nearest entrance to a silo, and that port-a-potty is the back door to Silo Bravo. Unfortunately you can't go through that way. The quest does mean any silo, but with 8 alpha codes you'll have to go to silo alpha, which is found north of the National Isolated Radio Array and east north east of Big Fred's Barbecue Shack
Thanks for the reply and so quick aswell I found out that it was in lockdown as someone else used, it so I just switch servers.
Happy to help
Where do I decrypt the code ? I have all Alpha codes but it doesnt show a word below "in progress" it just blank. I cant track alpha code anymore
If there’s no code word yet below “in progress”, you’ll have to use nukacrypt if you want to launch that day. Actual decryption is only possible with both the 8 code pieces and the code word.
@@IrresoluteCartographer Thanks for the code, I guess the mission is bugged itself. On the next day, it says completed itself so I can use the printer and enter Silo Alpha
i missed the part last time when you had to put the word infront of th new alphabet lol
*quits playing fallout*
Omg u're an angel
Does this have to be 45 minutes long?
The video is a walkthrough of the whole quest, if you’re looking for just the decryption process, go to 36:30
@@IrresoluteCartographer thank you.
How many code pieces do you need? 8 or 6 ...
Every week there are 8 code pieces per silo, you need all 8 for one silo in order to reconstruct the code
@@IrresoluteCartographer I 8 code pieces
And my launch code is voyaged i got voyadhn
I keep getting 5 letter words, what analog finder did you use?
I think your comment has a minor typo, or that you missed a letter in the transcription process, voyadhn is only 7 letters, you’ll have 8, one for each code piece
How many times do you have to aquire the same code piece
You need 8 code pieces specific to the silo you are attempting to launch from, this was really more of a quest walkthrough, if you’re looking for a guide specific to decryption, I made a video for that: ua-cam.com/video/mvqUW4W9Go0/v-deo.html
I put my hand and didn t open elevator
Are you at the proper point in the main quest? You have to be a General in order to access the silos.
@@IrresoluteCartographer how do I become one?
To become a general, you have to complete the Enclave quest “Officer on Deck.” Keep in mind that the Enclave is the last group you will interact with in the main quest of vanilla fallout 76 (Responders->Raiders->Free States->Brotherhood of Steel->Enclave), so if you have yet to go through those other phases of the main quest, you will not be able to become a general. Officer on Deck requires that you earn 10 commendations. You earn these by performing Enclave events, killing legendary enemies, and killing scorch beasts. Once you have 10 or more commendations, you may encounter a bug in which the game won’t recognize the completion, in which case, log out and back in (I’ve encountered this bug twice). Once you are a general, you will be able to complete training on the nuclear missiles, and learn how to get launch keycards.
Hmm. Not sure what to do in this case. The only things that came to mind were to exit the game and come back in (resolves some of these issues) or maybe that you have to have the proper quest to enter the first time, but I’m not sure about that.
How do u make that gun so powerful? I'm level 47 and I'm using the same gun, it takes forever to take down an enemy
A few things to keep in mind:
1. This was made pre wastelanders, so enemy stats have been altered with the “one wasteland” concept. It could be they were easier to kill then.
2. Make sure you’re choosing perk cards that match your weapons.
3. Using stealth, and choosing stealth perk cards that boost stealth attack damage are very helpful in attacking, especially early in the fight.
4. Always try to make sure you’re using the best gun you can for your level, and mod them with damage boosting parts.
Hope this helps
@@IrresoluteCartographer What is your sniper rifle? The hunter one?
Just a standard hunting rifle with the best damage parts I could put on it, along with a camo skin
@@IrresoluteCartographer Ok thank you, same as the gauss? Im sneak with the gauss but im tired to use it lol
I’m not sure, I’ve not made adequate use of the gauss to give you a proper answer on that
How did you get the word questionably?
Questionably was the weekly code word for silo alpha that week. Every week a new code word gets deciphered by the Enclave bunker computers for each silo, that particular week the word for silo alpha was “questionably”
@@IrresoluteCartographer what do you mean by the bunker computers? does it take time to show up or do i have to find the pieces to said word to complete it?
In the command room there are three displays that “decrypt” the code word for each bunker for the week. They take time multiple days to complete it.
I thought this was a tutorial.
It’s a main quest walkthrough with a tutorial enclosed. If you need just the tutorial, I made a separate video for that: ua-cam.com/video/mvqUW4W9Go0/v-deo.html
You really made a mess of this...I appreciate what you were trying to do here. But all you are going to achieve, is to cofuse most people.
Because so many people ended up using my quest walkthrough video as a guide to decryption, I ended up making a dedicated video: ua-cam.com/video/mvqUW4W9Go0/v-deo.html
Hopefully this helps
@@IrresoluteCartographer I see...I already know how to decrypt though I don't use it anymore as you can simply Google the weekly codes. I really did like everything else in the video. Just not the overly complicated process of decryption.
