Keep your nerd outfit in your inventory Tem! That way you can read them as you go and keep emptying your inventory of magazines at the cost of a single inventory slot for the nerd outfit. Also, the lvl 6 is a 50% chance for a bonus magazine. TOTALLY worth it.

@@BanaGhoo eh, dont get me started. The preacher gloves and the nerd outfit are way too OP. I made a post in the steam forums suggesting that the most unique and/or universally useful bonus should be the set bonus. +60% damage to undead, 50% extra magazine, etc.,.
The nerd outfit bonus shouldn't be a thing though.
@@JohnDoe-fo7yi i think the bonuses are too universal, they should stick to being specific weapon or action related and 50% is crazy single upgrade, like 20% makes a big diff already. I could go on and on and but I am starting to feel like I might just aswell come back to modding and make my own mod instead of discussing and trying to convince anyone.

A friend and I found that the Army Camps and Checkpoints are an excellent source of needed materials. Take an axe to the tents, wrench the bunk beds, and you are set for quite a while on cloth. Nice for various other things as well. Electronics, springs, tons of pallets for clay/etc. Some have lots of chem and medical piles for chances at acid and some have tons of cars to wrench down. They are a gold mine.
So save your space and be efficient by taking the nerd chest with you and keep it on the bike. That 1 slot used will save you all those slots your using by trying to take your books home
Yeah, I started doing this in my game and it is SOOOO much better on cargo room!
Oooor... You can just use OcbMaurice's pouch mod to have a small bag for seeds and a briefcase for magazines. It also gives Pack Mule a second life.

4:31 with the full assassin kit you totally can just walk up and knife them, hell, you can damn near bump into them. Also, knives have inherent 400% stealth damage + your dismemberment chance so you can totally one hit even rads if you're lucky. If you're not lucky, that's what your silenced SMG is for. Mag dump the bastard and not wake anyone else up. Fully committing to stealth is really powerful.
Ha, yeah I was being pushed around the gym in grover high by a cop, not being attacked, just his pathing. It was at night, but apparently zombies can't feel you :P They also don't notice when you shoot them in the head with a silenced rifle, can just keep pinging till they die. I'm not even full agi, just 3 points each into from the shadows and hidden strike.
@@Burt-nk6zc I'm maxed out in everything agility related and have tier 6 assassin armor. Silent stealth running, no stamina stealth running, silent stepping on trash... I'm basically a ghost at this point.
i always appreciate the consistency in doing multiple days per episode here. so much happens never a dull moment
helps to keep the nerd outfit in the bike btw. saves a ton of space during the day. like, think about carrying 5-6 magazines or just 1 slot for the armor
@@BuckStedmanTV i used to keep it in my bike, but have since found that its best IN your inventory. You can really minimize the back and forths by periodically reading the magazines. Plus, if ever you near the completion of a magazine category, you wont get too many wastes. In other words, once you hit max, you'll get less of the useless magazines.
By keeping it in my bike, I found that i was wasting quite a few by hitting the max after gathering more than what i needed.
Dude its insane to me how much u improved compared to the first series i watched.. ur story telling, editing skills, sound and ambiont effects, timlaps, basebuilding its just insane! I love ur work and ur vids are the most thing im looking foward for ♥️

Love the megabase design Tem. I'm currently working on building a hilltop fortress for the group game I'm playing in. It's a rather ambitious project. I find your bases to be an inspiration for my own construction.

@@GunsNerdsandSteel Fortunately, It looks to me like they took that sort of thing into account. Between the Mining gear, and the fact that there are 2 strength mods, you can get the ability to do mining pretty well without ever having to invest a point in the strength stat.
I'm looking forward to seeing it fully built and painted. :)
Someone suggested taking the nerd armor with you so you can just read the mags on the go without sacrificing a dozen slots

It may be a good idea to bring the nerd outfit(?) (the one that gives double book chance) in a locked slot in your Inventory so you can change it over when you need it vs taking them all home

Really enjoy this video and the series. Try this once. Put two points into parkour and go stand near some trees. Then, jump up and down and see what the zombies do.
The next time you do a more difficult series, I highly recommend the stun baton. You can get one so fast, and with the stun repulsor mod you are basically invincible. I've been doing tier 5s like they are nothing. Just find a bottleneck and watch them squirm 😂
I'd love to put a horde base together like the hope radio base and do the baton again 😈
If it’s just me I think the agility tree is equally as powerful because of blood damage with hunting knife
I personally find the stun baton spamming really off putting and boring from a video watching standpoint. As fas as my own play through, I’m sure I wouldn’t mind it.

One technique I use, is to press shift R on the "building frames", then select bars, and use them to block doorways, entries and exits, so they don't swarm me, that way I can focus on headshots while they're trying to get through the frames. Four tough tiers, I bring along some cobble for reinforcement. A combination of stealth and proper use of wood bars, can be a life saver, especially in poi's like the Minotaur.
There was a book "Urban Combat: Sneaking" if I am not mistaken, that makes you avoid making a sound when you walk over trash.. hopefully it will show up soon, will be really helpful for this play style, which I am loving.

love the doors used as falltraps, with that you could created corridors with barbwires etc. than you could close off/change to another lane while replacing them; steel wires does a lot off dmg and horde night is more about prolonging then eradicating;

AP ammo will help, even with the 9mm. The bikers are probably the toughest zombie now, so armour penetration is a bit of help.
If you're trying to use shapes as 'magnets' to hold the ramp to the side of the base, there are a few extra tiny ones that zombies can't stand on and debris can't land on that you can use. I don't recall the exact name, but there is a tiny corner piece that is just a really small triangle in one corner of the block that you could try using. Zombies can't see it properly to hit it and it's too small to stand on, and since 98% of the space it 'occupies' is empty air, debris shouldn't be able to land on it either.

Now I'm genuinely curious if you realized your machete was swapped with oil before or after you tried smacking a zom with a sack of oil.
Craft yourself T6 Nerd outfit and carry it with you in a slot. Then, just pop it on and read the magazines in the field. Seems to work well with inventory management.

You can easily get more room for your inventory if you just take your Nerd Outfit with you and just put it on every time your inventory gets full and then you read all the magazines you have with you.

24:14 you are much better then i. when that is said, the automod is more usefull because you can spam click faster and shoot extremely fast like that, the auto itself is slow.
spike traps are op, but when you got too much iron the barbwire (wood+iron) are much more suited bc for harder difficulties, they got more hp last longer so 1-2 can be circled untill a rad is dead easily.
you can make a death square easily.
2-3block heigh, 3x3 or 2x2, then spikes or barbwood around, as you move on the edge they will follow you around being perma slowed and taking good amount off dmg, definately the most cost efficient way to clear a poi, or a bloodmoon if you can't cheese with barrier blocks :P
(make it outside, run in make lots off noise, run out jump on top and walk circle with spear untill group is dead rinse and repeat

The lockpicking is a bit broken. I have the same trouble with maxed lockpicking. Can open one or two without problem, then burn through 7-10 picks on a small safe or cop car. Sometimes more on gun safes or T5 crates.

I always had to use blocks to cover my mining pits, because reguardless of anything else, I would always fall into them later when exploring, it never failed 😂

The large tanks outside POIs only explode if you fire the red cap. Otherwise, they just "break".

These new armor sets are awesome! Having a full set of miner for mining is legit, makes it super easy to get resources then coffee and rock breakers it's super op. Spent a day got about 4 stack of everything with a steel ⛏️.😊 Also I still can't find archery #4 book for steel bolts/arrows 😢

i've just done grover high at tier 6 infestation insane nightmare, never again, popped up on the roof and the first group charged i let go with my auto shotgun and pulled about three quarters of the whole POI, managed to survive it but i'm not doing it again. so many rads

Have you considered bringing your nerd armour with you and reading the books while you are out? Having it take up one inventory slot is better than multiple slots being filled with all the books you find.
You seriously need to to only use the preacher gloves on hordenights and instead go for full assasin setup, that set is so freaking good , i'm doing tier 5's in full sneak mode with no issues at all.
