The sheer terror this menu gave me as a kid stayed with me all these years, and I didn't realize until I played RE2 remake last week. Instead of going in the gas station at the beginning, I ran down the road for a bit, and the atmosphere, combined with the growling and moans of unseen zombies, made me freeze instantly. Peak fear factory.
It sounds like there's a real thing in the dark with rotted lungs. The creators really tried to work on the sounds of the game, in Russia the games were pirated and without translation from what is happening in the game for me was not clear and it was scary to think of the horrors of the origin of monsters and terrifying surgical operations. I thought that all the creatures are reanimated and sewn together the corpses of people and animals and the villain Victor Frankenstein(werewolves in general saw me as dogs without skin with open muscles and viscera of the body which were sewn into the chest of another large body of human corpses, Golems because of the fact that they bleed seemed to me huge monsters of Frankenstein in the skin of which a stone was forcibly melted with terrible pain for greater protection) it was Creepy and interesting to think about all this.
Once I saw Caddicarus do a video of this game, I instantly remembered the main menu from when I was a kid. I remember it being terrifying. Luckily, I wasn't the one playing the game.
Who did any of you guy's pick? Ignatius or Nadia? If so, Why? Because a friend of mine use to play this and he would pick Nadia because she was faster.
I played this game when I was very young around 4-5 yrs of age & my dad would often watch me play but get mad when I always chose Nadia. He prolly thought I was a nancy boy, but I was too embarrassed to admit I chose her bc of her 🍑 xD. Later as I grew older, I began choosing Ignatius bc he had more movesets than Nadia.
Ignatius in my opinion is a better character. He does more damage and he takes the hits. If you play the game and watch your health bar as you get hit by the creatures, sometimes your health doesn’t go down. Nadia is ok but she down like after 3 or 4 hits. Both are still fun though.
I don't know how they made this soundtrack specially the main sounds of this theme? Is it sound of a human or an animal?! Or if it is a sound of an animal, what animal?! Plz, tell me if you know it.
@@Harmonyya1992 if I remember correctly it had to do something with the amount of programming space they had left for the game. Either the creature was suppose to be a boss or sub-boss. But they only kept the audio for it.
Those sounds you hear is the creature from the front cover of the ps1 game. Sadly we don’t get to see the creature because i remember the game developers mentioning that they had limited space left for the game. The sounds of that creature is the one on the game cover with the glowing red eyes, sadly we did not get to see the monster it was cut from the game
