Hello sister like you I cried many times. Before listening his song, his voice and face is enough for me to cry ! Meanwhile, You are an amazing musician
Love the way you interpret and appreciate Ilayaraja compositions. FYI this song was composed for a romantic scenario involving two "Tamil street folk musicians" with an innocent man explaining to his blind lover what the world around actually looks like. Back in the day, such scores for "street folk musicians" were very stereotypical and all composers either oversimplified it or overcomplicated it with too many modern elements. Ilayaraja always being Ilayaraja made this masterpiece that too for a movie of considerably low production value. AND THEN to think of it from the perspective you have just presented has elevated my respect for this song way more than it used to be. The least I could was to hit subscribe!
The Raja of music...the great Illaiyaraja. the ones that he had composed in the 80's will always remain evergreen. I wish I played the piano like you......not sure where I should begin....nice video explaining the intricacies associated with music.
I don’t know music like you do. I just knew this song was so unique, here in the song- the lover tells her love I don’t want you to blind yourself because I am blind be my eyes and express the colors so that I understand them. The man describes the colors through a song- this song. But the minor key for me was the reason why I like it so much. Something that would make me sad actually is so uplifting. When you got teary eyed even I did. I don’t know why. Please do more.
You are doing a great great job by researching and analysing our Tamil musical master for the world music mr. Isaignanai Illayaraja... I have seen few of your videos and Nice work! Here is my 2 cents - To understand Raja’s composition one should know the basics of how modulation, modes, imitation, ornamentation works and Techniques like Fuge. Notable use of counterpoint were major influence of Bach. More the closer we looks we gain more understanding. Each of his signature song are symphony grade quality with utter most technical disciple followed. Lastly I recommend you to have closer look to his baseline. You will be amazed see how unique they were constructed. One of the finest composer of our time!

I am not trained musicians but I heard and read about music because of ilayaraja sir. He is one of the master in this music world. Because he is always doing experiments with his music like combined with western classical, hindustani, jazz, carnatical, foke, symphony, etc...and also he composed pure versions. In South Indian music has own lots of rhythms patterns in culture wise. But how he learnt everything from great masters. Also he is incorporate them with string instruments, brass, percussion etc... And he knows very well about their instruments range and their playing style. That is his biggest knowledge of music and also western theory. Always he is used to writing in western notes. Like mother tongue. From childhood I wish to learn music properly but I couldn't done. Now my son is playing western keyboard. He is very eager to learning because of ilayaraja Sir. I love so much music because of his influences on me from childhood. I am born and brought with his music only.
I watched your channel videos. I got goosebumps when you were excited about his music and playing piano and explaining about musical notes to all of us.
After his schooling, I would like to join him in good music school or college. Pls advise how to help him for music career. He is studying 8 grade now.
I would like to share some songs of raja sir. Which I am wondering when I listen the songs and background scores.
Best Regards,
Prakal

As a fan of odd time signatures, I request you to check out "isayil thodanguthamma" from Hey Ram. It's set in 7/8. It's based on a Carnatic raagam called hamsanaadham, but the song is in a Db major scale. Kudos and thanks!
No body can dare to explain Isayil thodanguthamma than the Raja sir himself.... And the singer of the song who gave his full 100%.. we are blessed to hear it in our life..
@@vigneshnatarajan8410 why dramatize by using the word dare in your comment bro. you still conveyed the point..without the D word
@@atheratetuber yes i am sorry
