I agree with the 8 principles. I'm not a pro trainer, just someone who has dogs. If I were looking for a trainer to help me, s/he would have to adhere to thus way of training.

The only 1 principle that helped me improve my relationship with my dog was ceasing all forms of control and management via tools and treats, aka “dog training”. I now focus on meeting his inherent breed specific needs and treat him as a sentient being. Dog training, even the force free style almost destroyed my relationship with my dog. How about we rewind the clock back 20 years when “dog trainers” were employed for sport dogs, security dogs, service dogs etc. since when did pet family dogs need “dog trainers”?
