I love rescuing a sad stryfe. Very rewarding feeling bringing a classic back from the dead and breathing new life into a lackluster blaster.

Just in time - I got a a broken thrifted Stryfe too and was about to open it up since the parts for it just arrived (takes a long time to ship from the US/Canada to my side of the world).
Same here, I’ve been saving an orange stryfe for just this type of project. I love the new stryfe x but these projects are fun because I can use all of my old nerf attachments too.
I’ve always wanted do this with my Gear Up Maverick with a Mayfly. Though my Maverick is almost pristine

That's funny that you mentioned making extended battery door because I've actually done that with dollar tree cutting board. Was many years ago but I did and it's possible to make one that looks nice. Amazing what you can do with a dremel and hot glue
Hey maritime foam!!! I have to share a secret I just discovered with a certain blaster and if you have it I want you to see if I’m crazy or not!! Ok so do you have it or heard of the 2010 hasbro (doesn’t say nerf on it) general grievous clone wars single shot blaster? I got one NIB and the dart post was laying to the side and wouldn’t stay straight…so I took it apart and it’s not fun cause it’s glued at the top of the blaster in one spot (but I got it apart) then took out and modded the dart post area, so with a short dart (dart zone red short dart) pushed all the way in (with my pinky) it’s shooting a consistent 82.7 FPS🤯 with the stock spring…that’s crazy but now it’s an awesome short dart blaster and soo fun to shoot👍🏻👍🏻
