I knew Donny on Facebook and marvelled at his creations. Donny went on to work for Star Trek Online. And when I last heard of him he was working on the Roddenberry Archive. I should of known he was your inspiration. He is an amazing artist. 🙂 This is fantastic work. The added realism of the Blender app makes it look so good. Your inspiration, Donny doesn't just recreate iconic, science fiction surroundings in the Unreal engine. He recreates the lighting perfectly. And if you can do that it can looks so realistic. Thankyou for posting. It's always great to see the Enterprise Refit recreated in such great detail. The Enterprise never looked so good. Well done. Additionally, I still have his Enterprise Refit Donny made on the Mysteries of the Sith engine. Donny made Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight look like Half Life 2. An amazing artist. Your in good company. ☺
That is so very kind of you. Thank you! The Conny refit is my absolute favorite Enterprise. I was dismayed when I found next to nothing in the way of 3D interiors for this beloved Enterprise. In fact next to nothing aside from Donny's work. This was a labor of love and really the first time I've done any actual modeling after years of learning Blender for the purpose of doing animation (with free or purchased models) so to have the overwhelming positive reaction to this has been empowering!

Thank you! It was my own endless and fruitless search for this particular bridge that led me to create it. I will most definitely share it; I'm working on other parts of the ship right now and learning how to port this to Unreal to make it something people can explore. I need to optimize the textures and organize it all before trying to share this blender file. It's huge at the moment.
@@robbetz I really appreciate your work and dedication you've put into this! I'm working on a few Blender Star Trek projects myself. Mainly ship exterior shots. But getting the models/modelling them myself ranges from easy to pain depending on what you want. The lack of closely related tutorials doesn't help. So again, really appreciate your willingness to share this ! I'll be looking every day for this now :)
@@HzgtSM Thanks! I haven't quite mastered exteriors. Not that I've mastered interiors but there is no shortage of ship models. This era of Star Trek is neglected in favor of the TNG era interiors for some reason. But the Constitution Refit is the BEST Enterprise and deserves her day in the sun.
