One thing I find quite common is that Donald and Douglas are not actually Caledonian Railway 812s but rather CR 652s.
Why? If you look at the last 652 that operated on BR it’s running number was 57645 which if your a Thomas fan. You should know that Donald and Douglas would be the next 652s built Donald being 57646 and Douglas being 57647 as shown in ‘Hullo Twins’ in the RWS. Also it’s hard to see but Donald and Douglas are also 652s because of their bigger size and most obviously the reversing lever present on the Right side of the Boiler near the splashier or wheel arch (whatever you call it).

4:08 just to be clear, Sam is not based on Big Boy. He is actually based on the Challenger which is similar to Big Boy, just smaller side rods. To know how to tell Big Boy and Challenger apart, look at the side rods. Big Boy has four wheels connected to the rods, and Challenger only has three wheels connected to the rods. Sam logic: approvable

Tonya Alwardt Sam is not a big boy nor a Challenger. He is a VGN 2-6-6-6 AG class of articulated Locomotives. The Challenger is a 4-6-6-4. And the Big Boy is a 4-8-8-4. 2-6-6-6 has the nickname blue ridge. Sam is not from Union Pacific.

That's not Samson's basis. Samson is based on a Neilson Saddle Tank 0-4-0T
