- Hallelujah!! I really love this mix of Row The Boat. It comes from the cancelled Merry Christmas 77 album, which would have been a pretty mediocre Christmas album, in all honesty. Some of the songs on that album are good, like Morning Christmas, Bells Of Christmas, and Winter Symphony! What do you guys think of the album? (If you’ve heard it, of course!)
Love the contrast in the swirling, ethereal, complex background voices against the clear, straightforward, naked lead vocal.
Never knew they did this song! Great for variety!😊❤
I first heard their version (and the song in general, as far as I'm aware) just a few days ago on an alternate 15 Big Ones album that a channel called Endless Harmony created and it caught my attention. Thanks to your serendipitous timing, know I can easily enjoy the song. I hope we get some massive boxset from this era, as to have an official release widely available, but you've done a very good job. Thanks again!

Never knew about this or the Album that was scrubbed. Man I'll take anything they got, obviously Brian levitates but as a group all those boys mattered.

I agree with your "mediocre" reckoning of that album, although I personally think it's hard to make Any good/decent seasonal music but even though that is what I believe, Morning Christmas a masterwerk (We've covered it!)

Anyway, I do like that the bass synthesiser has been brought up in this mix.
I've heard the Christmas album. Not as bad as ppl say. Not great but not bad.
