I'll take a stab ... 1) Rocket Science / Burn In Hell 2) Sunnyboys / Alone with You Tonight 3) Hoodoo Gurus / Like Wow - Wipeout! 4) Angels / Soul Surgeon 5) INXS / Don't Change And now if anyone's too crocked to leave, I'm sure I could easily add another 20 to the queue!! Cheers!! Over the years, I've heard mention of Sherbert now and again ... then very recently I made the connection to The Sherbs! Both, No Turning Back and We Ride Tonight were given a good push on AOR radio here in America in '80 and '82. Always love these Aussie-centric shows! Thanks guys!
Great show mate. Im Glad your diving into the Sherbet Catalog, some of there albums are great ive had them in my collection for years. I can remember back in the 80s you could pick up there entire catalog so cheap as people didnt want them
My Fav Aussie BBQ Songs 1. Southern Stars - Rose Tattoo 2. Good Times - Inxs & Jimmy Barnes 3. Living in the 70's - Skyhooks 4. Bow River - Cold Chisel 5. It's a Long Way to the Top if you want to Rock and Roll - AC\DC
Here's my list, in no order. I'm from the USA, so I hope these are acceptable to you guys! Also, there are six, because I couldn't whittle it down. - The Screaming Tribesmen - Casualty Of Love - Ratcat - Don't Go Now - The Lime Spiders - Just One Solution - Hoodoo Gurus - Come Anytime - Midnight Oil - Stars Of Warburton - Radio Birdman - Murder City Nights Also, for literally ten years I've been trying to remember the song "Run To Paradise." I couldn't even remember any lyrics. It wasn't very big in the US, but I had a promo copy of it from the store I worked at and always liked it. THANK YOU for helping me with this!!!
I was in a music lesson back in the 70s when the teacher asked if anyone knew any music by Schubert. I shouted Howzat! The class cracked up, the teacher didn’t know why so put me in detention & sent me to the headmaster. Anyway, here’s my 5: Will I Ever See Your Face Again - The Angels (with the chants natch 😂) Jessie’s Girl - Rick Springfield Thunderstruck -AC/DC Good Times - Jimmy Barnes & INXS I was going to go with Down Under - Men At Work, but as you had already picked it, I’ll pick Women In Uniform - Skyhooks. PS: fun show btw
Great topic, mine would be Mental as Anything - Come Around Divinyls - Boys in Town Midnight Oil - Power and the Passion Baby Animals - Rush You Hunters and Collectors - Throw Your Arms Around Me Great work guys
Midnight Oil - Diesel and Dust and Blue Sky Mine - the whole albums And of course I would add some Men at Work, ACDC (with Bon Scott) , some Motherwolf and even some tunes from a rock band I like a lot called The Balls. Well, once everybody is pretty drunk , then I would add some Silverchair and even some Air Supply.
Saw Ice House with Cold Chisel yesterday at Taupo NZ great show.Ice House were impressive excellent young sax player Iva in good form, Cold Chisel were awesome!
Fun show so for me I would definitely have hoodoo gurus miss free love 69, and bittersweet, INXS red red sun, mental as anything you're so strong, the divinyls science fiction, cold chisel you've got nothing I want and wild colonial boy and icehouse taking the town and street cafe that would be my playlist
