hello there, thanks a lot for this very informative video. I've been painting diamonds sinds 2016 so I'm very familiar with all the bad drills, I've even had a color of drills that were stil soft as if they weren't "baked in the oven" properly. But I've never seen a video about bad drills before, so thumbs up and keep up the good work👍
This is an EXCELLENT video & I wish I had found it 6 months ago when I first started DP!! You are great at teaching/tutorials...much appreciated & ty for sharing!!
Very informative! There were a lot of terms I heard being talked about as a new diamond painter (my first kit comes today I'm waiting for it now, so excited!), And many of them related to drill problems, something I didn't really think to look into but I now know it's something I need to be especially attentive too as I didn't quite know exactly what I would be looking for. I tried google but didn't really find info pertaining to actual diamond painting so one quick search on youtube led me to your video and I'm highly grateful! This video is very helpful with identifying what exactly needs to be avoided, thank you!
I did not know this was a problem. When I started I would see the extra tab and use a sharp nail nipper a cut the tab off. I am relatively new at this. I’ve completed only six kits. I could easily square up those drills without any consequences. I toss the ones with holes or deformed. But I am not in a hurry and I clip the tabs as they arrive in the tray one by one. It’s relaxing to correct the flaws if possible.
Yes, you could file it down or cut off the tabs if you absolutely need to, but I would only do that if you are running out of drills. In most kits they send you about 20% extra, which means for every five drills that are good you can throw away a bad one. If I was worried about running out, I'd set the bad ones aside until the end and file them if I need to.
VERY informative! I was looking for this very video to send to my friends who I've gifted a diamond painting. Thank you thank you thank you! ❤
Excellent video, thanks for showing the actual junk drills. It will be easier to pick the odd ones out of the tray.
As a brand new diamond painter (just started my first one) I want to thank you for all this information. Very helpful.
Oh man welcome to your new obsession!! Diamond painting is completely addictive.

You can also melt them off with a lighter.
