how low does it drop below the frame??? i have my car dropped 2.25in in the front. been wanting to get the on3 but afraid of destroying it vs just making a mid mount turbo
@@LightningFast240 I routed my exhaust out the bumper on the passenger side. I tried to get the exhaust to fit so I could run it out the back but it was too tight. I didn’t try hard enough. Guy I sold it to was able to route it out the back. 100% ground clearance. On3 doesn’t even compare.
@@eclipse1328 yeah my town has speed bumps EVERYWHERE. I would think the first day the on3 kit would be destroyed. I wouldn't mind trying this kit but for the price Idk. Might only order the hot side.
Great job man! Question, did you put in an oil scavenge pump? I've heard some people say that because of the lower placement of the turbo with this hotside compared to where you'd ideally want to put the drain fitting on the oilpan that there could be flow issues. Just wondering your thoughts.
Why didn't you do with an on3 turbo kit? I hear they are a tight fit but for someone that dosent weld the cx racing kit sounds miserable...having to straighten the inlet ,weld bungs, move blow off...in just curious...cause I'm in the market for a kit and lito told me for entry level the on3 is the balls..
Great build Justin .what made you choose this kit over the on3 turbo ? What rpms does the turbo start spooling at ? and if I recall correctly that kit is about 2,500 and the on3 is around 1,900.do you think that extra 600 was worth it ?
kwilliams3161 a huge thing for me was the fact that I could keep my Eibach Sportline lowering springs. Stance is important to me. I do not like how these cars look with the factory springs in. The turbo starts spooling at about 3,000 rpm roughly. To me the extra money was worth it. It’s a clean looking kit. Not many people have it. I do believe I’m the first to post a video online of the kit itself.
kwilliams3161 I don’t know much about CXRacing but I do know that on3 has some decent turbos. I figured I would go with the well known and proven brand when it came to the turbo. It was only 350$
@@eclipse1328 really, bummer! I really dislike the clearance issues with the on3. Is there a kit you recommend? I’ve been running a Paxton blower for a bunch of years and ready to make the switch.
@@Brian-ec2ep if you’re okay with having to fabricate most of the parts on this turbo kit then it’s not bad. Just wish it would have come more complete. There’s things they could have done that would have made it a true bolt in kit, but they cheaped out on the parts. I would have been able to go with my axle back but I would have had to delete the a/c compressor and I wasn’t going with it air conditioning.
I wish I had that clearance with my on3
It only had that much clearance because I made the exhaust exit through the bumper.

Damn was really looking forward to getting this kit, but you honestly kind of turned me back to On3. This kit just seems like a pain in the ass.
Big Beef it is a bit of a pain. But worth it once finished
What was the total cost?
How did the on3 throttle body coupler work after you added the “shims”?
did you ever dyno it and figure out how much hp it’s making?
Twin 62mm throttlebody would really up the anti.....
How is your bottom radiator hose ran?

It definitely didn’t need that. Oil pressure was great.
@@eclipse1328 And no turbo longevity issues so far with no scavenging pump?

Great job, what length are your 02 sensor extenders? I can’t really tell from the video if 36” Ford extenders would be too lengthy.
How much drop did the Eibach Sportlines give you? It looks good.

Fits This turbo on 2010 GT?
It’s still the 3v engine so yes
Where can I get this kit??
Go to CX Racing
Hey man I’m looking at getting this kit and upgrading the turbo to a VSR Gen 3 7875. Would you know if I need a standard or a reversed T4 ?
I recommend NOT getting the kit.
