does the black housing affect rgb as i have stock gateron browns but like these switches from what i see but dont want to loose the rgb element of my keyboard. also thanks for the great video one of the best sound tests ive seen so far
May be a bit old, but still a very nice tactile switch that still holds up. Although I agree it would be exciting to see new switches, such as non-long poles or light/medium tactiles.
nah its an S tier stock switch, i spring swapped to 68g extended and they blow all single state tactiles out of the water, only dual / triple stage long pole tactiles can even compete
While nowadays I would agree, the context of which these switches first came out in was an entirely different landscape. Heavy tactile switches were not very commonplace and there was a lot of excitement over the Holy Panda frankenswitch at the time due to its tactility and sound signature. When Gazzew introduced the U4T's it essentially brought a very good heavy tactile switch at a very affordable price to a market that was begging for heavy tactiles. Nowadays we have even more interesting options than before in the tactile space so in comparison the U4T's seem a little mid nowadays. Hope this explains where the hype came from! It's all about context
Omg, thank you so much for clarifying!
(I kind of struggled way too hard to find any information on the different naming, lol. 💀)
They both sound pretty similar, but very nice. Great video!
Love hearing persona music out in the wild! Anyways, good review!
Persona is way too good as background music to not use it
Same here!

boba u4t possibly the most overrated switch available hyped up by content creator and followed from there from anyone that doesn't have an opinion.
