Edward Wooten I always got such a kick out of the contrast of characters those two played first on Mama's Family then on Golden Girls. Both shows were family favorites and I think it really shows how talented those two ladies were. I miss actors and shows like these!
I feel almost all of the time when Eunice goes off on someone she is reacting to someone that was mean to her. Particularly Mama and Ellen, who make her out to be mean. This was a great episode! Too bad Eunice couldn't be throughout all of Mama's Family; there was a big void when she was absent.

However, when the show was revived for syndication, Carol was divorcing her late husband Joe Hamilton, who produced the series, and it was a hard divorce, so she didn't want to work with him in the revival. Too bad, because I would've loved to see her with Bubba.
Max Raboin I remember this one Carol Burnett skit, Teacher's Dilemma, especially when Eunice and Thelma both shrieked out at each other right in front of Bubba's teacher.
why was Eunice always treated like the villain, I felt bad for her, she seemed like a good person, all she wanted was to be loved, but her family treated her like crap! that is sad!
yeah nothing Eunice done was good enough for thelma, It seems like Ellen was always treated with respect by Thelma and Eunice was treated like she did matter at all!

Eunice may have been treated like crap but she was selfish and threw temper tantrums when she didn’t get her way. She complained a lot about not making it in show business but couldn’t take constructive criticism from her teachers and quit! She wanted to do everything her way.
Ed was cheating on her too. He was going to massage houses. Single Bars. He left Eunice for a stripper. I don't blame Ed. Eunice was not much of a wife. She was not much of a mother. She wasted her own life. She did nothing

Just saw Eunice and it was funny how Carol Burnett was into that character. They both complained about Ed. Each one complained about their husbands lack of good ideas and ambition (Ed in hardware, and Carl in car sales?). The husband's provided for them but there was always a complaint from them. Ellen had better finances and their brother left it all behind to become a writer. Those two became more "important" while Mama and Eunice stayed stuck in misery.
Before 5:44, not on this video, Eunice had said how Mama had given her daddy's sapphire to "Tinkerbell over there and his recycled BRIDE!!!" SUCH a funny part! XD

That Carol Burnett, man, too bad she had marital issues by the time 2nd season of Mama's Family was coming to a close...MAN, I loved it when she was Eunice! The fights Eunice and Mama had were every bit like Archie vs. Meathead! I also preferred NBC over the syndicated. Not saying it should've totally ended, but something was lost moving it to the syndication.
It was revived in syndication two years after it ended due to the popularity the NBC reruns were getting. I think they should've brought back Buzz and Sonya too.

It's a miracle that show survived Ken Berry and his 40-year-old "teen" children, Buzz and Sonia. If it weren't for the strength of the other actors, I doubt the show would have lasted a couple of months.
I could never tell if that was really Carol Burnett playing Eunice or not in Mama's Family, I know that she played it sometimes, especially the first episode, and of course in this episode, but I'm almost positive they got somebody elseto play Eunice at times, because Carol Burnett cannot be copied she just can't, like you know is her, if it's her
