Have you looked at Strandberg guitars? They are ergonomic, but expensive.

As a lifelong V and X (Stealth) player I say your logic checks out!

Hey thanks! I saw a stealth after this design 'came to me,' and I though: Yeah, this is close.. but not quite! I do think they are cool. I play a V too (you can see it on the wall in my vid) and love it! I'm also an explorer dude (since Cheap Trick got ahold of me in '78!) and bought my '82 E/2 (maple/walnut/m/w/m.. sculpted) off the showroom floor in Knoxville. Still got it! Gonna post vids of the other guitars I built soon. Thanks again.

Awesome. I'm here because of Chris from Highline guitars. How is it balanced, when you play it in a standing position?

Hey there; Thanks so much for commenting. because they're headless, these are extremely balanced. Also, when I made plywood prototypes, I drilled holes everywhere (both on the front and the back of the body.. there are no rules!) to locate the optimum strap button spots. I found that, because of the extreme cutaway for the leg, I could mount the rear button on the back of the body and wrap the strap under and up to my shoulder. It's unconventional as a method, but that's kind of what this is all about! Placing the output jack way up 'under my right elbow' near the strap button was unconventional, too, but made perfect sense to me for a guitar designed to sit and play. Because of my girth, the ergo guitars I tried didn't solve any problems for me as far as what I was really after in a playing position. I honestly haven't test driven these on any of my skinny guitar playing friends, so I as really curious about that. Gonna post more vids soon to brag about the other guitars I've made (which are prettier than this one!). Thanks again!

I'm thinking of doing something similar. I have an arthritic wrist and lower back problems. Actually looks nice too man.

Thanks so much! I'm going to do another video soon to show off another one or two that I've built that I'm so proud of. I really had back problems playing before, and it simply is no longer an issue... a Godsend. I'm 62, and have arthritis, hip replacement, kidney transplant, DeQuervain, cubital, and carpal surgeries on both arms, wrists, hands.. so I understand the challenges. I'm lifting you up in prayer! Thanks again.
