I remember standing in line for a rare Nina concert in Harlem during the 1980s. The great singer-song writer, Abbey Lincoln was in line for the concert too. I knew Abbey. I’d never seen her so excited
I could only wish i was there. I was born in "66".But i close my eyes and its like i am right there with her. I've always enjoyed musucal talent before my time. She is and will always be legendary
This is wonderful. It captures her multifaceted musical talent, and multifaceted personality. Love you Nina!😘 I know how lucky I was for the opportunity to have you stay at my place in San Francisco for those couple of weeks in 1982. You were going through a difficult moment at that time,, but you persevered. Thanks for touching so many lives during your sojourn here on Earth, Your message and memory will help heal the nation we call home, in the difficult moments we are going through right now. May we be willing and able to hear you, and open our minds and hearts to your beautiful sound and soul.. ❤️🎵💕🎶🧡🎵💙🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹💙🎵🧡🎶💕🎵❤️
Beautifully said Sir. You write how i feel. So much emotion is bubbling right now in our lives. Some aware, Some not, all right beneath the surface. God bless and Namaste to us all . Love and care and above all be true to one's Self. Be bold n strong , just like Nina. We are the one's that will lead the way.

She was able to produce an incredible sound from the piano that has always blown my mind. It is weightless and fluid. It's amazing she could do this with a basically percussive instrument. She was beyond gifted.
I just learned of Nina Simone 2 days ago. How can that be? Needless to say I feel I've known her forever now. Positively does not get the great credit she deserves. In all ways, on all levels.

Muchas Gracias por compartir este gran concierto de la Amada Nina Simone. Muchas Gracias Nina por todo lo que nos sigues dando. La música de Nina se debe de grabar en una cápsula del tiempo.
Thanks for bringing this wonderful concert (not too much for jazz) but love Nina Simone especially her popular standards, the way she "tears" up the piano when she plays "My Baby Just Cares for Me" blows my mind every time and my favorite song "If you Knew " gives me goosebumps every time. Also love when she features the drummers.

@@evabiggs7927 I was there - saw her every night during this residency at Ronnie Scott's in Soho. She was breathtaking - larger than life! She moved like a panther at the piano. I dreamt about that experience for months afterwards - still do sometimes. Ravishing!
Conheci a obra da Nina através da Nana Caymmi que é muito fã dela!!! Duas damas da música que nos mostram que Deus ainda acredita na humanidade. Que falta faz a Nina!!!!!
@8:39 If You Knew, my favorite version of this song. I miss artists like her, a lot live performances in music comes across hollow whereas there is a true sense of vulnerability here.

The more I listen to Nina, the more I love her.
Born at the cusp of the Greatest and Silent Generation, speaking of things for the Millennials and Gen Zers. The woman is timeless.
So intelligent, so unapologetic, so fierce this Women was an Entire Vibe.
She was brilliant and a genius.
