I will never forget watching the intro to Dune 2 when it was released back in 1992. My friend and I's minds were completely blown away. Having a fully voiced and animated intro like this was rather rare. Not to mention the awesome gameplay. Truly a masterpiece of it's time with an amazing legacy.

Ahh, Westwood and it's in between missions cut scenes with live actors in front of green screens was cool, silly, awesome, entertaining and more at the same time ;) ...being a kid in the 90's and early 2000's was amazing !
P.S.: Hot seat, LAN Parties (strategies, shooters, car racing), Atomic Bomberman, Fight games...so many memories, so many sleepless nights ;)

Could maybe have mentioned that the OpenRA version changes a lot of the underlying mechanics, such as accuracy, and that it does not feature all of the campaign missions for all factions.
I was thinking how I'd be able to find this... kinda want them to remake the damn games with proper up to date graphics and the such.
Ideally you found all the info you needed in this video 😁 They just released the remade C&C series, I think, so maybe they'll do it for Dune 2000 as well, thought less likely.

Just fascinating how the games evolved from 1990 to 2000. It is just big leap in technology and computational potency.
In the case of the Westwood games at least, you can very easily chronicle the development from Dune 2 into C&C-Red Alert and then Dune 2000. The progression leaps are noteworthy but incremental. While the leap from Warcraft 2 to Starcraft is much more of the quantum variety.

In case you are talking about Dune 2000, you only need the ISO for the OpenRA version and the OpenRA installer will do all the work. If you needed to install anything from the ISO I would have mentioned it.
