- At FBTT we love NASCAR but we also love sportscar racing so why not marry the two? Here's a look at some of our favourite NASCAR teams that have raced in sportscar series like IMSA, Trans-Am, and even the Asian Le Mans Series. Did we miss any? Let us know in the comments below!

First, it is Greg Pickett, not Gary... Bud Moore who would field cars in NASCAR Hall of Fame drivers Bobby Allison, Dale Earnhardt, Fireball Roberst and Joe Weatherly also ran Mercury Cougers in the Trans-Am series with drivers such as Dan Gurney, Parnelli Jones and Peter Revson from 1965 they 1968.

Bobby Allison ran his prototype NASCAR "L&R Series" Buick Somerset Stockcar in the GTO class for the 1988 24 Hours of Daytona. It was technically for his own team.

Did he technically own the AF Corse-Waltrip team? I believe he just gave them a bit of funding and drove at Le Mans
