My father bought a new discovery 2 in 2001 and we've still got it, it's been a brilliant vehicle with trips all over Europe and another one planned this year despite it being 17 years old!

    I've had one D1 and two D2's. Still have my 2001 D2.

I've had two of these. So, why don't the British make television sets? Because they haven't figured out how to make them leak oil yet is why.

JeevesReturns, Bahahahahahaha!!! What year vehicles do you have? I bought a gorgeous 2004 SE7 2 years ago, only 96,000 miles, but yes, it leaks water and oil, just like I was warned that it might.

These cars are still running around. Most of the Range Rovers From then are dead.

I have the feeling that the Discos are going to end up being worth more money than the Range Rovers in the end.

Just bought a 99 rust free, 8plug 4.0 V8 engine. In the US. It’s as clean under it as the body is. You gotta see h. Brand new rims and 235/70/16 tires.

Entry level £25k and fully loaded model for £35k. I know prices go up over time but the entry level today starts at FIFTY-SEVEN GRAND. Insane how much cars cost thrse days, truly insane.

I used to watch Howard on Tomorrows World back in the late 80s and 90's.
These Discovery's are rusting away now, unless you get a Japanese import.

Managed to find one sans all the awful bits, sunroofs, ACE (expensive modulator unit which fails too often and over complicates things) and with the coil spring conversion at the rear. Ours is the S2 TD5 and apart from the corrosion around the rear of the chassis she's been brilliant. As we do all our own repairs and maintenance and use her both for pleasure and business she suits us just fine. We'll probably pop her on to a galvanised chassis when the time comes. All in all there's nothing we'd replacer her with.
