Micro Geckos are amazing! We definitely need to promote smaller species in the hobby. They are extremely underrepresented and we can provide such complex habitats for them due to their small size. Your build turned out great! Can’t wait to see more of these lil cuties! 😍
Thank you so much! This is only the second time I’ve ever seen them in the hobby so I took the opportunity this time around to get a few and hopefully spark people’s interest in these guys. Thanks for watching! ❤️
Please not, we don't need more parents buying their kids tiny reptiles for Christmas just so that they escape and die within the house's vents lol. Keep these for the experienced people
I love microgeckos! I currently have a female coleonyx brevis, and hope to get some sphaerodactylus species (torrei or grandisquamis) soon. They're so easy to house and care for, and are certainly great for people with limited space. Also, there are a lot of great feeders asides from tiny crickets; i currently culture rice flour beetles, peanut beetles and Buffalo beetles, who's larvae are all tiny and nutritious for geckos. You can also raise isopods, springtails, and micro roaches (still uncommon though) which are all great feeders for tiny geckos.
I’m so glad to hear other people are interested in these micro species! That’s good to hear there’s more feeders than what I listed, I will say I haven’t heard of most of them and it might be because we have a limited amount of feeders up here in Canada. But the small isopods are a great idea! I’ll be looking into that for sure :) Thank you for watching ❤️
After watching the video I can't find steudneri in the US. Most micro geckos I find really aren't true micro geckos. I really like these guys a lot. Thanks for showing me something new!
Would love to see more content on your emerald green tree skinks, I’ll be getting some in spring, found a breeder with 2 captive bred females, she said of the 19 babies she had 17 of them turned out male😅
I’m definitely going to continue with tree skink content, I’m so sad I’ve been so busy lately. Working two weeks in a row and being out of the city for work currently but hoping I may have more time soon!
Great video. If microcrickets aren't available, will other tiny food items complete their diet? Would fruit flies, springtails, isopods, flour beetles, and bean beetles be options? I don't want to get an animal that won't thrive in my care.
I honestly can’t say I confidently know the answer. Part of me wants to say if given a constant variety then it should be ok but I might have to speak to other keepers about this that are more experienced.
I have a crested gecko so a bit different but my question has to do with the substrate and the size of the crickets. Do you dump the crickets in there and they find them by themselves? How can you make sure they are eating? I do kinda the same with mine, put in the dubias and when i clean his enclosure i dont see them so obviously hes eating, but how can you tell with the natural substrate?
I usually will put about 6-12 crickets in a crested gecko enclosure at a time and let them hunt. Usually I’ll see them get one once in a while which is how I know they’re interested. If there starts to become a build up of crickets that are left (either dead or alive) I know they aren’t eating as much as I feed them or none at all. With dubias you can feed them in a dish that they can’t get out of or else they’ll just bury themselves in the substrate. Hope this helps!
@@TheCritterCorner620 They do look similar but if you compare a photo side by side they do look rather different. Sometimes people also use different common names to address a species
I was worried about that which is why I mentioned a 5 gallon may work well for a smaller group like a trio. That’s one reason why I’m starting small and gunna go up after this size to something a bit bigger to see how they do.

I love all tiny animals, and right now I am dying from the cuteness! I. so. want. these!
They are so cute and tiny! There's something so special about a tiny little geckos! They always have huge personalities!
They’re so precious and I’m in love ❤️
I really like micro geckos. Your habitat turned out great. One day I would like to have something similar.
Thank you! They’re such a fun little cute species ❤️

Great video as always! BTW you have beautiful red hair!
Thank you so much! ❤️ Needs another dye soon 👀
Probably the cutest geckos I’ve ever seen
Aren’t they!? 😍
Awesome video! I’ve been curious about this species. I love the setup you made for them too!
Thank you! I have only ever seen them twice while I’ve been a hobbyist so I just had to get a few since I never know when I’ll come across them again
Cute little setup!
Thanks!
Awesome video I love the build!!
Also thank you for convincing me to get some too they’re incredible to watch!
I’m glad I have a friend now I can talk about them with!
I really like their eyes. Great video

A nice live food that is quite easy to breed en masse is firebrats.
Perfect size for T steudneri and many others from the Tropiocolotes genus.
I actually haven’t heard of those! I’ll have to see if I can find these in Canada.

hey awsome video! first time I watch your channel. Do you think I could get some in Vancouver?
They can be hard to find but if worse comes to worse you could always have some shipped to you from somewhere else in Canada
Where did you get them?

Ive seen small geckos like this in arizona
You might have seen a gecko called Coleonyx variegatus. Very cool gecko!
My babies

I got some a few months ago from all reptiles
Oh nice! Hopefully they’ll get more again
How are they doing update please? They are so cute!
@@amysticpraise videos have been hard to make lately but they’re still doing great and I hope I can find more to grow my little group!
What heat bulb do you use for over night and do you need uvb at least 8 hours a day?
I turn off all heat and lights at night as my reptile room stays around 70f-75f and yes UVB should be on for at least 10 hours I’d say.
I have six in the way, what size tank do you recommend?
From what I’ve read I believe anywhere from 10-20 gallon is suitable.
Would a ten gallon be -too- large for a trio?
Glass frog update
Hey how are these ?
I love them! Can be a pain in the butt always needing tiny feeder insects tho
Aren't these Arabian sand geckos?
