Ok, this popped up among my recommended videos yesterday, and now it's one of my favourite bands! Not just because of bass, of course, but because the music is bloody great! How was I so ignorant about this band so long? Better late than never, I guess...
@Pilgrimage85 yeah I tried individual fingers vs double thumping everything. I realized when I double thump, the notes all come out equal and even and I'm actually a lot, and I mean a lot faster when I double thump. Also an added bonus is I get to rest my palm against the strings which allows muting, and that is critical for my bass when I have this many strings.
I am a finger technic player but i always loved pick playerd when they do it in a correct way like this guy or legends like newsted, demaio, ellefson etc with fast tremolo and down picking.
@@TsunamiFilmshaha i was at work and i was like watchin' the vid and the boss if he was around in the same time lol. Yeah now that i watch focused i see it. I like that technic too and it's good more and more are using it in metal and other technics to bring different sounds. If i am not mistaken, i remember watchin a video of you doing a prog demo or something like that, that's why i remembered you and the bass.
Damn i like the way this guy plays, really cool technique, too!
Yeah 🤟

I just kept looking at his right hand. He's not using a pick. Incredible technique! 🤘🔥
Its an interesting style, hes not using a pick but hes using his nails/fingers as a pick.
Hes still using picking technique. He could get alot more of he was using his fingers individually
