Oh my gosh everything looks awesome but that bread looked on a whole new level! And what a cool gesture giving the visitors your bread. God bless you Amanda for risking your life to bring us these awesome videos 🤕😆🤙
That was so nice of you guys to share the hot bread! You guys got the best ones though. My husband is from Molokai and he would always get cinnamon butter and my go to order was always blueberry cream cheese. Gotta go with the OG flavors. :)
My 7 year old just love your videos. He tells his mom he wants to go over our house cause he likes to watch the shows I watch on UA-cam on our tv. He laughs at Felix cause he said he's funny. Maybe one day he wants to eat what you guys are eating cause he's a very picky eater. Keep up the good work!
Oh man, that garlic ribeye sounds so awesome. Now I'm hungry, no starving! The molokai bread sounds so delicious, I'd have to get both! That was very nice of you to share. World would be a better place if everyone had that mindset. Aloha from whidbey island.
I love hole in the wall restaurants. I would eat any of those dishes. I'm originally from Molokai, born and raised, I have eaten at Kanemitsu Bakery my whole life, I love their bread. I'm on Maui so I miss it. Great content this video. Mahalo and Aloha.
...but just right eh?! If you know, you know. You two fill my days with joy and hunger! I swear every time I watch one of your shows I get hungry for whatever you're eating.
Awesome video guys!!! I'll take one of everything and two on the ahi-tatake "SUMO-SIZE IT", Felix, you made that tourist day, that's the ALOHA spirit, add Ethel`s Grill to the to-do list, Mahalo for the video🤙🏽

Awesome video as always! I never knew Ethel's was Okinawan. I will have to check it out and support my Uchinanchu people! Mahalo for showing aloha to those visitors! We need more of that in today's world. I've been to that park and battled those flies too! I am happy for the success and growth of your channel. You both deserve it! Video idea: Manapua Man! Haw flakes baby! Lol! Oh yeah, Rap's Hawaii!
I just want to say our family has been a huge fan of this channel since it has started and I really do appreciate that you guys do the Mom and Pop business. My parents owned a little dinner in San Francisco for over 25 years so props to you guys for showing that small business love. Felix keep up the sound effects.....
Awesome find, Ethel's Grill. It's a hidden gem okay. That Molokai Hot bread reminds me of the Kanemitsu family of Molokai. I have a client, Kanemitsu who is from Molokai years ago his family ran a bakery on Molokai. Everyone who is from Molokai knows about the Kanemitsu Bakery. Mahalo. Enjoy your good eats.
Those huge garlic pork chop and chicken plates are to die for. If I could afford it, I'd have foodies like these take me on food tours of local Hawaiian eateries. Truly great holes in the wall the natives frequent, not tourist traps.
Mahalo for Ethel's and Moloka'i Hot Bread - now expanding to LA. Glad you shared with the visiting couple. Mahalo for braving the flies, wind and monkey pod. Always such ono grindz and dessert in the car or in the park.
Awesome video! Hi Yvonne so glad you joined Amanda and Felix. Always nice to see you on the videos. Your content is always on point. I've never heard of Ethels yet I use to work on Dillingham near Watanabe Floral. Gotta try Ethels when I'm on town on errands.
I love how close you guys all are to one another. Congrats once again on hitting 10k that is a big accomplishment! Ethel's grill looks delicious ima definitely have to spot by there at some point haha.
We're Californians headed to Oahu in July and we are constantly bingin' your great content for places to eat. But we've come into the problem of having too many options. Can you guys do a top ten "must visit places" on the island?
Some that I would recommend living here are big wave shrimp (guivannis is overrated), fresh catch (the best poke I’ve had), Doraku sushi and Liliha bakery 😋
@@axmaciel7 thanks soo much for the "foodie" info you've given us. I just put your picks in my notes app so we can try some of your amazing local eats.
Blueberry & cream cheese toasted is bomb! I work so close to Ethel's but it takes too much time to pick up. I just might have to sacrifice some time! Those seed pods love Amanda!
Keep pumping out these awesome videos! Thank you for sharing, family! BTW - Yvonne is a light weight foodie UA-camr herself...she need her own channel. Love your guys energy too.
I’m planning a surprise trip for my boyfriends birthday to Oahu in September and your foodie vlogs have helped me TREMENDOUSLY in planning this trip! I work for Yelp and know a few locals in Honolulu but it’s great seeing where you both venture to. Binge watching your content and always so excited to see when you upload a new vid. You both are so great! Keep it up :)
Guys, you forgot to mention the miso soup included in every meal. Some of the best on the island! Also, for the tataki just pour the sauce over everything and eat it as a tataki salad. The garlic crunch and tataki together...ya done, son! And best Loco Moco on the island!
Thanks guys, I just came across this video. I will be visiting Honolulu on August and I hope to continue watching your videos. I like your contents and I can’t wait to see you guys when I get there. I will love for you guys to show me around Honolulu. Thanks guys and keep doing what you are doing.❤️
In a few years I will move back to Oahu with my Thai wife. Your vdo is helping me teach her about Hawaii and where we can go eat and picnic. She especially liked the Opal vdo so thanks! Mahalo! Also any chance of a vegetarian vdo or recommendation for my daughter now attending UH-Manoa? Keep up the good cheer!
Aloha Amanda & Felix (and Yvonne)! First, two rooster crows (lol!). Another great vlog and the food from Ethel's looked super ono, especially that mochiko chicken and also the dish Amanda was eating too. As for that Molokai Hot Bread, OMG, to die for, the bread looked like a very yeasty type bread, sort of like Challah and/or Greek sweet bread, would you compare it to either of those types of breads? I'm glad to hear they are not overly sweet too. I hope to be able to find that truck when we're out there, would love to try it. You guys are the BEST and I always look forward to watching your vlogs when you post new ones on Mondays and Fridays. I don't know the other person who has been following you as long as I have, but Aloha to him!!!! Looking forward to your next vlog. Luv ya guys!
Mahalo Paula for the constant support!🥰 you have no idea how much it means to us! We definitely hope you can try the bread! It’s similar to hawaiian sweet bread but not as sweet and you’re right, more of a yeasty type! We’re so happy that they can be found here on Oahu now!! Always had to wait for someone to come back from Molokai to eat it before😆
This bread is the best reason to go to Molokai and it used to be you only could get it there. They started selling it out in bulk on Kauai (where I am) for youth raising money for sports etc but now they are expanding even more, glad you guys got to try it. I love to watch your channel so I know where to get all the good local grinds when I visit Oahu. 😁
Wow! Jus happened to scroll to this channel(actually the 2nd ep looking at) for the first time and you guys r really entertaining! In the 2 episodes watched I’ve never gone to those places although heard about Ethels Grill. You got me & hubby hooked & subscrbed!😁
I kind of loved how the Molokai Hot Bread guy was like "no I'm only selling to them". Special treatment for you guys. 😁 But I get how that couple might feel bad. You guys are so nice! And oh man tamarindo is da best. It's like the li hing mui/crackseed type flavor of Mexico.
We randomly stopped at a high school car wash, and they were selling Molokai Bread as a fundraiser. We got a blueberry one.. it was so ono. They suggested that we cut it up and put it in the freezer, defrost for 10 seconds...OMG! BTW, thumbs up for sharing your bread! And I love Ethel's..
Ethel’s is da bomb!! Had the pork chop and the mochico chicken 🐔. Gonna try the rib-eye. Great job.guys, risking your life with da monkey pod bombs! Always look forward to your videos. Support local aloha😎🤙🏾
Flies are gonna be around under trees or not. But if it's a shower tree or well, lots of kinds of trees in Hawaii you might get some flowers or a leaf or even a seed pod dropping on you.
Wow those flies look like F-14s air attack!! Yvonne knows she breaks it down like a shotgun. That teacher always on display. You guys did it again. Awesome video!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
🌴Aloha Amanda, Felix and Yvonne! After I saw you eat the Molokai Sweet Bread I had the biggest craving !!! I. Must. Get.Some. Love how you out the prices at the end! Another great video. #10virtualpoundsgained 🤣
We really love your videos and so glad you had one on the Molokai Hot Bread. We have been to a few of the places on your videos and we always tell them we saw them on Amanda and Felix Eats. 🤙 I am going to send you an email, we have a condo on Molokai you guys can stay at and do some videos on the Mokokai local eats.
Should try hide in mccully across from longs. Okinawan restaurants gotta support them! Also sunrise restaurant in Kapahulu is Okinawan. Another place you should try if haven't already is Yamas fish market also in mccully for Hawaiian and local plate lunch! So good
you have to go to the bakery on Molokai at night. up the alley them down the hallway around the corner to the swing open top door in the back of the bakery for the hot bread. it's so ono. only thing is they added lights down the hallway so it took some of the suspense if someone was going to jump out from the dark to get you.
Me and my coworkers were eating at Ethel's over 30 years ago before it became the hip place. It was mostly blue collar workers and neighborhood people. Now you see office workers in Aloha shirts taking up all the tables.
@@ryana5856 that area had choke places for grind. Alicia's is on my top 5 list. You remember Kawakami's across from Ethel's? I used to get breakfast there, then one day I went and they were closed for good. If you remember Kawakami's, then you old like me. Oh and Democrat Market lol. I can't believe that place still open. That place had so many different owners.
Omg! Molokai Hot bread is the bomb... I try to get it at least once a month. It’s good by itself, but I’ve done French toast and bread pudding using the blueberry cream cheese and strawberry cream cheese.
Haha. No ...I don't know Paula F. But it sounds like we both have amazing taste. lol. ;-) Hey! I used to live on Molokai! We went to Kanemitsu's to get the night-time hot bread all the time. Soooo good (and super carby. lol.) My favorite is the cinnamon butter and the blueberry cream cheese. You can't beat the fresh baked right out of the oven night time bread run. *drooool* If you get to Molokai you should go to the restaurant and get their french toast -- cuz they use that bread to make it -- and the loco moco there is the best on Molokai too. And, Oyako don is the first dish I learned to make when I worked at a Japanese restaurant in Seattle back in the day. 懐かしい! BTW, you have a PO Box or somewhere we can send things to? Head over to FedEx store and pick up a mailbox so we can send you stuff. lol.
Mahalo Mark for the continuous support! We appreciate all the aloha🤙🏼 OMG fresh molokai hot bread sounds ono!🤤🤤🤤 Definitely would love to go molokai and eat it fresh! Wow! You can make Japanese food! I (Amanda) always try to make Japanese food but it doesn't come out as good as the restaurant!😆 We are looking into a PO box! We had no idea Fedex has mailboxes too! Thanks for the tip!🤙🏼
Sharing some of your bread with the visitor! Now that is the aloha spirit at work! Mahalo for spreading the spirit!

I’m so afraid for Amanda when eating under a tree. Stay safe from tree droppings & flies guys 😁. Bon appetit🤙
Aww you're so sweet!🥰 Mahalo for watching and supporting!🤙🏼
Flies are gonna be around under trees or not. But if it's a shower tree or well, lots of kinds of trees in Hawaii you might get some flowers or a leaf or even a seed pod dropping on you.
Wow those flies look like F-14s air attack!! Yvonne knows she breaks it down like a shotgun. That teacher always on display. You guys did it again. Awesome video!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Mahalo for the aloha on every video! Aloha🤙🏻
🌴Aloha Amanda, Felix and Yvonne! After I saw you eat the Molokai Sweet Bread I had the biggest craving !!! I. Must. Get.Some. Love how you out the prices at the end! Another great video. #10virtualpoundsgained 🤣
Get some! They are amazing 🤤
We really love your videos and so glad you had one on the Molokai Hot Bread. We have been to a few of the places on your videos and we always tell them we saw them on Amanda and Felix Eats. 🤙
I am going to send you an email, we have a condo on Molokai you guys can stay at and do some videos on the Mokokai local eats.
TALK ABOUT THE GREATEST 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Should try hide in mccully across from longs. Okinawan restaurants gotta support them! Also sunrise restaurant in Kapahulu is Okinawan. Another place you should try if haven't already is Yamas fish market also in mccully for Hawaiian and local plate lunch! So good
Omg that looks so good 😊
I'm so hungry and I just finished dinner - loooooks soooooo gooood
Mahalo for watching!🤙🏼We getting hungry again too🤤
you have to go to the bakery on Molokai at night. up the alley them down the hallway around the corner to the swing open top door in the back of the bakery for the hot bread. it's so ono. only thing is they added lights down the hallway so it took some of the suspense if someone was going to jump out from the dark to get you.
I only ate at Ethels once. Not sure if doing dine in again but I like it.
Me and my coworkers were eating at Ethel's over 30 years ago before it became the hip place. It was mostly blue collar workers and neighborhood people. Now you see office workers in Aloha shirts taking up all the tables.
Auntie Maria Lani! Raps Hawaii! 😁🤙🏽
Ho yaps! 🤙
The one thing I missed living on Democrat St. was Ethels. Molokai Hot Bread at Pearlridge on Sundays🤙🏾
Nice! Thanks for the tip about Sundays!🤙🏼
If you lived on Democrat St, then you know about Local Boys. Braddah Wes always took care 🤙🏾
@@tamatoa8261 Also KC Lunch & Deli with a haircut at Vangie's🤙🏾
@@ryana5856 that area had choke places for grind. Alicia's is on my top 5 list.
You remember Kawakami's across from Ethel's? I used to get breakfast there, then one day I went and they were closed for good. If you remember Kawakami's, then you old like me.
Oh and Democrat Market lol. I can't believe that place still open. That place had so many different owners.
@@tamatoa8261 The only place I remember across Ethels is the mini mart. Democrat Market I miss bigtime.
Food looks really good
Omg! Molokai Hot bread is the bomb... I try to get it at least once a month. It’s good by itself, but I’ve done French toast and bread pudding using the blueberry cream cheese and strawberry cream cheese.
That sounds ono!🤤 Gotta try that!
Hello
How are you doing? I'm prince hamdan. The crown prince of Dubai. Nice meeting you. I will want us to talk more.
Suggestion: try slicing fresh ginger and placing around food to keep flies away. Heard it works. Let us know.....TY
Great idea! mahalo for the tip!🤙🏼
Haha. No ...I don't know Paula F. But it sounds like we both have amazing taste. lol. ;-)
Hey!
We appreciate all the aloha🤙🏼
OMG fresh molokai hot bread sounds ono!🤤🤤🤤 Definitely would love to go molokai and eat it fresh!
Wow! You can make Japanese food! I (Amanda) always try to make Japanese food but it doesn't come out as good as the restaurant!😆
We are looking into a PO box! We had no idea Fedex has mailboxes too! Thanks for the tip!🤙🏼
