I purchased one Diana Procyon 4500 a week ago from Salt Strong store and so excited went out for first cast hook a small mangrove snapper couldn’t bring it in due to free spinning even though the drag knob was tied, found out that the reel was defective. I would assume they should have some type of quality control to ensure the product work as it should, unfortunately not. I contacted Salt Strong for several days now and still no response with any directions. I just want to exchange to the proper working one, but still waiting I also sent multiple email still no response. I did talked to Justin twice, and and request the operation manager to response, unfortunately whoever working on this issue didn’t seem to care. That was opposite from what was stated from the salt strong website. Hope this message reach out to Salt Strong team.

did salt strong get back to you and make this right ?
Other than aluminum what makes it saltwater ready ? ( magseal, shielded bearings)
Love this reel over the stradic
I would slightly grease your FL's carbon fiber washers. I've never had that issue with my Stradic or my Spheros Inshore. Bizarre.
Me neither. You must have had a reel that didn't have sufficient amount of grease on the drag washers. Mind has been perfect out of the Box.
What Size AL are you reviewing and using here in this video the LT3000 or is that the 4000 model?
Have it and I'm loving it every cast..
