- In this video, I went kayak fishing with my new Daiwa BG MQ 2500 for the first time with my buddies @JCFishin2021 and Cameron. The goal of the video was to test the reel on a variety of different species while fishing a deep pocket along the mangroves at low tide with live shrimp. Check out the Daiwa BG MQ here: bit.ly/BG-MQ

Make some more black drum videos love watching em
That reel sounds and performs so much better vs that pos ffp reel. You can see and hear it in the video.
Those sand perch are awesome fish to eat. White and mild
I remember recommending that rod to you. Wanna have a little more fun with it ? Go to a 1000 size reel an use either 6 or 8lb braid on it. Man it's sooo fun and very addicting
I have the same exact setup you used in this video, and it’s great for catching many different fish
I just got a 3000 BG MQ and love it. A lot smoother than the battle iii (granted a more expensive reel)
Yeah Im getting one for Christmas already tested it amazing smooth reel
Thanks for another awesome episode
I have the same exact set up, love it! My fav rod in my arsenal.
Funsize tarpon! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Great reel I have the same one! Just watch the cap on the reel handle. Mine fell off first trip out.
Same here and to my fuego LT as well
@tristanzsk841 do you mean the dudt cap on the opposite side from the handle?
I love how smooth Diawa is but I like opening up my own reels so I go with penn but all brands are great to me
I wish Penn had smoother options.
I only use them for chucking bait out but it’s nice to see the battle 3 is pretty smooth compared to their other reels, it just has that thump when the spool switches oscillation.
So hard to kill those reels lol.
The spheros SWA offers IPX 8 for a $200 value so that’s the point where I wouldn’t really consider Penn for a wet situation as the only reel that can compete is the authority.
@@fantomphoenix6170 I didn’t know that about the spheros interesting
Nice fishing buddy 👍👍👍...
Good morning and good fishing me friends ❤️👍
Great video. How do you like the 7'4 Banshee? I have the same model but in the medium heavy.
It's a good rod! Very light but still has enough power when you need it
Got 2 BG MQs.
Great for the price. Only gripe is that it takes more force to reel under load than expected.
While a small detail, it may be worth experimenting with a Ballistic MQ to see if that changes.
Love them so far.
I'm looking for a new reel for a 7'6" MH rod. Narrowed down to BG MQ and Procyon AL. I know you've tried both. I fish Long Island for anything from Fluke to Striper on soft plastics/bucktails. Any recommendation on which reel?
fish ooooOOOOONN
why is the reel making that sound when you reel a fish in
Where are you fishing?
was that pasco county? the wate ass pretty murky
put the gonexus knob on it
Where is this?
Awesome video Dude
Daiwa need to change the rubber on hand it is soo shit they have it on a few models of reels
