    👍 nice & simple. When I’ve used a hole saw, I always keep the cut-outs for whenever I need a knob and use as is.

    Great series of vids, been wanting to sort out track and clamps on jigs and workbench for ages but the cost of clamps really adds up - perfect solutions, another one for my winter list

    Tomas, wonderfully simple solution to making star knobs! I've seen a few with fancy jigs and the like, but that has got to be the most straight forward.
    Nowadays, it's far too simple to just buy stuff off Banggood rather than make it yourself. Don't get me wrong, I've acquired quite a number of items from that source - all of which I'm very happy with - but we wouldn't be makers if we didn't, er, make things ourselves from time to time.
    I've never been a fan of spending days on hardwood jigs with blind dovetails, using every imaginable woodworking machine known to man. Long story short: thanks for keeping it simple.👍

    Hi Tomasz. Great easy way of making the star knobs they've turned out well, all you need is four nuts.
    The clamps with the vee grooves in will be ideal for holding round components while machining them.

    Hey Tomasz! Great work! 😃
    I loved the star knobs! Could you tell me the sizes of the hole saw and the forstner bit of the outside holes? Thanks!!!
    Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  Рік тому +1

      Thanks, as far as I remember it was 5cm hole saw and 1cm forstner bit. But I will be doing a new video on star knobs soon as I need a new batch and I will make a jig for them plus a different type of tool as well 😉

    Nice and useful. When and why did you stop using Danish Oil and start using sanding sealer?

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  4 роки тому

      The main reason I'm using sanding sealer is that it dries very quickly- about 20 minutes and you can apply another coat. And it's not super expensive 👍

    Great video thomasz. How accurate are you finding the evolution sliding table on the saw mate ? Hope alls well keep safe

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks mate, hmm it's fine for what I need it for. If I need super accurate cuts then I use my sled. The play is not massive, less then 1mm so not too bad. I found it's more the mitre gauge that's the issue. I may try to make something myself for it

    I like your work, but if you could slow down a bit when your showing a product that use ( like that can of Sand Sealer) would be better. I had to go back and pause about 4 times to read it!
