And although there might not be a cure, its nice to hear and see, that there is alternatives, and ways of easing the pain not only for caretakers, loved ones, but also for the subjects going through this. I can barely relate or understand how it must feel like to not really be sure about what mood you wake up in, or how you are going to react to certain enviroments or people differently from day to day basis, depending on how your brainchemicals are combined. But just because someone is sick, does not mean that they are not entitled to feeling love. However that feels to someone, who sometimes rarely or barely even trust themselfs or anyone else. Noone should be outcasted or left alone due to an illness they did not choose. However, i am starting to understand why familymembers and loved ones are recommended to seek out therapy. Cus it can be quite hard being around someone who shifts mood, opinions, even points of view, words, promises, feelings.. from day to day, or week to week.. you think you know them, and then suddently its like talking to another person.. Not to mention the severe depression parts.. Oh daym, those are rough to watch..

Three of my friends are bipolar, one of them has type 1 with psychotic mania and the other is type 2 with severe depressive symptoms. Being understanding and hearing them out is so important. Being moody is acting like a security guard... being bi polar is like I'm on seal team 6 Nothing to brag about. Just an illustrative comparison of intensity
Perhaps so, but does everyone also have symptoms that prohibit them from doing tasks of daily living? No? Then that person is not diagnosed as bipolar.
Hi there, I am only available om Patreon. We can arrange a phone call on there. I'm going through some personal problems right now but I do get back to people as soon as I can! Rob
Look, this is my opinion as someone with it. It’s perfectly fine to use bipolar as an adjective AS LONG as they have an understanding of the illness, if they don’t… then they assume they have it too it’s like no 😢😂
They need to change it to something else or back to MD because it's been stripped of its severity and definitive illness So yes, I'm in the camp where it bothers me. We deserve to be respected for our actual living condition.

Wow that nurse needs to educate themselves! I feel like all nurses, or anyone who works in a hospital for that matter should at least have some type of education regarding mental illness! Considering a lot of people who are hospitalized may be suffering from a mental illness.
using disabilities and illnesses as a substitute word can be very harmful, even if they’re not intending to say it in a derogatory way. Overtime people will subconsciously link the two words together and for most people that’ll be the extent of their knowledge of said disabilities or illnesses. That those with it are associated with a term that more than likely doesn’t apply to most if not all of people with it.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. It’s vital to have conversations about these topics to help break down the stigma surrounding mental health. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
It’s like how the word “gay” was a pejorative. Even though it was slang it didn’t take away from the harm it did/does to the people who are the butt of the joke. As well as pushing the idea that it’s acceptable for others to joke like that. I had someone call their dog bipolar, I know they “meant well” but I don’t think many people would like being compared to an animal.
I would especially since animals are way better than humans could ever be with that being said I don't think you quite understand the concept in which we're speaking
im convinced I have ultradarian bipolar but no one believes me and it infuriates me even more . escpialy when all of your family are therapists/work with disabled people and cant see it , because whenever their happy im sad/ angry and whenever they are sad im happy I can't do it anymore. love the videos though. genuinely help me sleep at night

May I make a suggestion for a future Polar Warrior content? Logically one may easily deduce tires should be invented before brakes. First reading Evolutionary origin of bipolar disorder on Pubmed by J. Sherman and second by researching the evolution of Myostatin and other inhibitors . I claim consciousness was first invented by the bipolar genes and then came the emotional regulation and stability genes . And stress may untangle these adaptations in reverse order. So I conclude having bipolar is a retro-evolution. A retro evolution to the origins of Consciousness. I do not have strong evidence to back it up but I think this may give some inspiration for Research if it reaches a good audience.

It’s insulting when many “identify”as bipolar or have been misdiagnosed. Thanks TikTok. For those of us who are actually bipolar with psychosis (Sylvia Plath, “The Bell Jar”) it trivializes an illness that can destroy lives. It killed her. Not me though!

I hate that they can’t see it and we don’t always wanna show it to them and it’s so many different degrees for different people. You know I’m different when you’re taking medication try having ADHD and autism and bipolar being diagnosed with those but maybe they’re all you know maybe they’re all related but try thatand try knowing your understanding and talking about your med not like you’re like a drug addict or try off your meds and seeing how you can’t function and wondering was I better when I was younger? I didn’t drink coffee or anything because then I was.

Anyone who asks that question has never dealt with a bipolar person. The extremes are impossible to miss.
Moody is based on fact and circumstance. Bipolar is moods based on chemistry that doesn't often align with circumstance. That's the tough part.
The most dangerous that happens is a lack of true understanding of a situation like Bipolar. It gets so aggravating.
I'm a lot bipolar...

@@transparentghost2817 if I may recommend you to watch 'the logistic map' video from Veritasium. It is a computation and maths video but it gives great insight to understand origins of Bipolar.
Thank you, I like your delivery on this.
Thanks a ton! Glad you liked it! 🙌

Hi Robert, I've watched your videos for a long time and have finally made a UA-cam channel of my own!😂 this has been a long time coming so from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for every video you make!! It's inspirational to hear your story! I myself am Autistic with severe unipolar depression, not bipolar although I have been seeking out an assessment for that. Three of my friends are bipolar, one of them has type 1 with psychotic mania and the other is type 2 with severe depressive symptoms. Being understanding and hearing them out is so important. Psychosis is very real for them and watching your videos have helped me understand a great deal! Lots of love and support from Ireland my man!!❤🇮🇪🇮🇪
Your words mean the world to me! Thank you for being such a loyal viewer and for sharing your story. It’s inspiring to see how you’re turning your experiences into something positive. Best of luck with your channel!

My parents can tell when I'm on a high or low. I just wish they would handle it better. As for using the term bipolar as a slang word is offensive, people don't know our suffering. If they did, it wouldn't be slang.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s important to raise awareness about the language we use and how it impacts those who are affected. Your voice matters!

I just stumbled on your channel and I'm so impressed! Thank you for this. Also, I am trying to get a proper diagnosis. NO body can figure me out.
Thank you so much for your support! It means a lot to me. I truly hope you find the answers you're looking for regarding your diagnosis. Stay strong!

Being moody is acting like a security guard... being bi polar is like I'm on seal team 6
Nothing to brag about. Just an illustrative comparison of intensity
Perhaps so, but does everyone also have symptoms that prohibit them from doing tasks of daily living? No? Then that person is not diagnosed as bipolar.
Totally get what you mean! It’s all about the real symptoms, not just the mood swings after a rough day!

so glad you are back thank you
I know I'm a little bipolar from time to time... sometimes I get a little maniacal
Look, this is my opinion as someone with it.
It’s perfectly fine to use bipolar as an adjective AS LONG as they have an understanding of the illness, if they don’t… then they assume they have it too it’s like no 😢😂
I think a lot of people like to say "oh I'm so bipolar" or "I'm so OCD" because they think it's cool to label themselves that way.
Totally get what you mean! Some folks just want to sound edgy without really understanding what it means.

Robert, thank you for another well thought out video. Take care and GOD be with y'all
They need to change it to something else or back to MD because it's been stripped of its severity and definitive illness
So yes, I'm in the camp where it bothers me. We deserve to be respected for our actual living condition.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It’s crucial to have these discussions so we can advocate for the respect we all deserve.

Literally have this issue today. It bothers me but hey btw love your videos been here for years🤘🏽
I just had an emergency room nurse say pretty much the same thing to me.
😒
I have this twice as bad having bipolar disorder and autism a lot of times people use autism to mean stupid and bipolar as moody
Thank you for sharing your perspective. It’s vital to have conversations about these topics to help break down the stigma surrounding mental health.

I UNDERSTAND THAT❗
🎈✌️😎👍✨
It’s like how the word “gay” was a pejorative. Even though it was slang it didn’t take away from the harm it did/does to the people who are the butt of the joke. As well as pushing the idea that it’s acceptable for others to joke like that.
I had someone call their dog bipolar, I know they “meant well” but I don’t think many people would like being compared to an animal.
I would especially since animals are way better than humans could ever be with that being said I don't think you quite understand the concept in which we're speaking
Th and you for your insight,I am bipolar.
No worries! Thanks for dropping a comment! It's cool to chat about this stuff.

It is on a spectrum like autism.
Thank you for sharing that insight! It’s so important to recognize the spectrum in all its forms.

Is there a reason why you say "I have Bipolar" rather than "I have Bipolar Disorder"?
I prefer to say "I have Bipolar" because it feels more personal and relatable. It helps me communicate my experience without the clinical terminology.

🖤
No, not everyone has a bit of bipolar , having just learnt i have tye symptoms, it is a very severe and debilitating condition. I am having regular meeting with a psychiatrist and he said i presented with mania and depression at the same time.
I completely understand where you're coming from. It's a complex journey navigating mental health, and everyone's experience is unique. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
