I found your channel and decided I would supply my email in an effort to apply to your patreon page. 2 days ago. Since then after entering my email in attempt to be on your patreon page I've got nothing but spam emails in my email account from all sorts. Thanks. 😢 I never give out my email account and this is why.
Greetings! The only emails that go out should be notifications that I've posted something on Patreon. Can you elaborate by sending me an email or forwarding some of the junk messages to me? I want to know if Patreon is sending out anything non-related to my advocacy work. My email (as a one-time curtesy) is PolarWarriors@gmail.com -Rob
The change in season gets me every time... I'm a serious runner, so I have some soreness and pain from my lifestyle. However when I'm depressed, like now, I feel like I've been run over. It's been about three weeks of depression... Debilitating anxiety in the morning... Running and riding my road bike to work gives me some time to focus on something else, and usually okay when I arrive at work. I've missed no work this year and have been mostly functional. Better than last year. Glad to see a new video.
I’m really glad to hear you’re finding some solace in running and biking. It’s great that you’re still functional and pushing through. Remember, it’s okay to seek help and talk about what you’re feeling. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
Hi Rob was a patreon years ago & enjoyed so many of your videos. Still have all the usual issues associated with BP & now pain. I have had a hard time with finding a good pain management Dr. that actually listens. Lost my therapist of 25 yrs…he retired…& was hard to find another as good but I think I finally found one. Sometimes I feel completely broken. Thanks for listening & being such a fighter for all of us.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It’s tough to find the right support, but I’m glad to hear you might have found a new therapist. Remember, you're not alone in this! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
My 14 year old grandaughter is bipolar and has started suffering with migraines to the point there are days she cant go to school. My heart breaks for her.
I'm really sorry to hear that. It must be incredibly tough for both you and your granddaughter. I hope she finds relief soon and gets the support she needs. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I'm so grateful to hear and read that I'm not alone although I would not with this on anyone! Thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge. This helps so much! ❤🙏
Thanks so much for this video- it's really validating in the face of these struggles. I'm BP2, have had 3 spinal surgeries, and SUFFER with osteoarthritis, SI joint dysfunction, and GERD. There are times I feel there's no such thing as happiness, only brief absence of misery; I try to tell myself that's just the BP talking but it's sure not easy. Anyway, thanks again for more great content.
Thank you for your kind words! I’m honored that my content could provide some validation in your journey. Your strength is truly inspiring, and I’m here cheering you on! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
Lord have mercy, 💔 the struggle is real. Bipolar, Fibro, Chronic Pain, Fused Spine, Osteoarthritis, Extreme Overactivity, Severe Withdrawal, Lack of Movement, Anxiety, Widow, Can Hardly Move, and it sucks simply put. The pain was so severe last night I couldn't even sleep. I was trying to figure out how to describe the pain & couldn't find any words that would accurately describe it. Lack of sleep is daunting, exhaustive, & makes me clumsy.
I truly empathize with your struggle. It’s incredibly tough to deal with all of that at once. Remember, it’s okay to reach out for support and take things one day at a time. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
@@PolarWarriors Thank you, I've learned one day at a time is too long. I live one moment at a time these days. I once said I would rather have everything hit me at once in life rather than dish things out a little here & there. I didn't think of that applying to my health or I never would have said it. It's almost like I spoke it into being. Silly me- I take it back now. 😂
Thank you, Rob, for a great video as always! I’m over 60. I don’t have pain, but I started to experience dizziness (which worsens when I am agitated) and numbness in my feet from a few years ago.
It was comforting to know I am not alone with chronic pain and bipolar disorder. My pain is from a pelvic injury that cannot be "fixed" and therefore must be managed with targeted exercise that I can't ever stop doing if I want to minimize pain. It can be demoralizing.
@speezygirl7496 I can relate to you as another woman. Mine involves pelvic pain. What helped me is no more. I have to help myself with the pain. "Mind over matter" 🫤
I really appreciate your honesty in sharing this challenging experience. It’s so important to talk about our health, and your story can help others feel less alone. Thank you for being brave! Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
My doctor told me that I have "symptoms consistent with fibromyalgia" but said he wasn't calling it fibromyalgia or writing it my chart because "no one would take me seriously when seeking medical care again." What? I'm just tired of the pain, I don't understand the judgment from doctors or why that's even a thing.
Ugh, that really sucks! It's beyond frustrating when doctors don’t take you seriously. Just know you're not alone in this, and your pain is totally valid! Keep fighting for what you need! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I'm really sorry to hear that you're in so much pain. It's tough to deal with chronic issues like that. I"m glad you liked the video! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I'm terrified of being an addict because of my mother. She's one and she's never sobered up. She ruined my childhood. I often refuse pain medication because of this fear, even Tylenol or ibuprofen. I was in a car accident that injured my neck and back, and broke my hip. I do my best to stretch, and exercise regularly to keep my muscles strong to minimize the pain. The weaker the muscles the worse the pain. I also soak in the bath if needed. Occasionally I use a heating pad. That's how I manage pain.
Man, that sounds rough! But seriously, props to you for handling pain in your own way. Just keep doing you, and don’t forget to treat yourself to a nice bath after a tough day! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
@PolarWarriors - I was doing just fine on pain meds for a physical problem. Then my stepmonster who is STUPID/DANGEROUS stuck her nose in my med. business. She had the gall to call my Dr. who was prescribing the meds to me. She lied to him and told him I was abusing them. Wrong, Bi*ch. He believed the silly ... and I never got to speak to him again😢 I was kicked out of the practice for no reason. I had been on the meds for about 8 or 10 years using the amount he prescribed. Moral of story: I kicked the meds in a week BY MYSELF. It was slightly uncomfortable but I did it 👊👏 Wish I had the name of her doctors/her meds so I could blow her out of the h20. I also knew I could never be in the streets looking for herion to take the place of what was taken from me. End of that story. She's caused me problems since I was 14. I was diagnosed Bipolar at 15. Apparently it runs rampant on the paternal side of my family. I'm now in my 50s (old😁) My Uncle committed SU at 37 yo. Sorry so long and I have so much more to say😪 Thx anyway.
I'm really glad you found my story relatable! It's amazing how sharing our experiences can help us all feel a little less alone. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I always learn from your videos and for such I am grateful. I recently had surgery after months of pain, which also led to months of pain afterwards. Neuropathic pain was so bad I tried lots of things at the same time. My doctor prescribed pregabalin and that is what helped me the most. For two months I was prescribed a strong opioid but it did little to help with my pain. My surgeon cleaned the incision with a scalpel once a week, and nurses also cleaned it every 24 hours. The surgeon used no anesthesia because I was fighting 2 resistant bacterias and injecting the area would make it worse- I had a toe amputated. He said I was not supposed to feel pain, but it was excruciating for me. The touch of anything on my skin surrounding the incision was painful. Now I understand why they said I was not supposed to feel that much pain. Thank you for helping us understand so much about bipolarity, much more than most psychitrists are able to tell us
I truly appreciate your kind words! It's heartwarming to know that my videos have been helpful to you, especially during such a challenging time. Wishing you continued healing! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I get it, figuring all that out can be a pain-literally! Just remember to chat with your doc; they can help you sort through the chaos. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I have developed muscle weakness and chronic pain in my hip from years on depakote, now im on pregabilin to help , and have switched my meds with mixed results Love your channel, a real support ❤

Thank you for your support via videos!! I appreciate your help and insight!! I am in a much better place because of you!! I have suffered from bipolar disorder my entire life. In addition, I suffer from injuries from a major motorcycle accident. It nearly took my life! I was in an induced coma for three months, after brain surgery as I fractured my skull. I spent months in rehabilitation. I am deemed permanently disabled. This added with my bipolar disorder has been more than challenging. But you can always get me into a better place!! Thank you 🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to me that you’re finding the information useful. Your support really inspires me to keep creating content. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
😮 I didn't know about the connection between bipolar and pain. Amazing. I swear, I just asked my husband yesterday why I hurt so much. I have osteoarthritis, migraines, body aches...all of it. I wish I could take you to the doctors with us and speak to my (very few) friends so they could understand all this. I get to flustered trying to explain it. Most wouldn't watch the video. 😢 I'm so tired.
Ugh, that sounds rough! I totally get how frustrating it can be to explain all that to people who just don’t get it. Hang in there! We have a really cool community on Patreon you may find helpful. Peer support is important. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I had a car wreck about 8 years ago in which we were rear-ended. I still have times that i have pain & stiffness in my neck & back. This happened before my Bipolar diagnosis. For over a year i used a muscle relaxer frequently. When i had some tention headaches my then DR told me to use my muscle relaxer. Mostly now i just take some ibuprofen for pain. However it doesn't always help. Im just thankful i don't have more boughts or daily issues with pain. This was a greatly informative video!
Man, that sounds rough! Glad you found the video helpful, though. Just keep doing what you can to manage the pain, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever want to chat about it! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors

My god! I was diagnosed with bipolar when I was 40 though I’ve lived with it my whole life and suffered from serious joint pain from my early 30’s I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 2 years ago, I never knew they were connected, I just thought this is typical, going to the gym helps with my mental health then I’m crippled with physical health problems, it’s like life going you a good old kick in the teeth, sympathies with all you guys 😢
Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s important to connect the dots between mental and physical health, and I appreciate your openness. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I have bone on bone knees and hips, back pain, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and an unknown blood disorder. It is a struggle. I'm in a lot of agony. And I'm only 43. As you know, I have schizoaffective bipolar with PTSD, anxiety, social phobia, and eating disorders.
Thank you for sharing your story with us. Your bravery in facing such challenges is inspiring. I hope you find some comfort and support in our community. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
Before I started taking psychiatric medications, I had severe headaches that made me scream because they were unbearable. For many years, my pain has been less frequent and much milder. I also experienced other pain that forced me to go to the hospital several times. I don't have them anymore, luckily. Greetings from Poland
I'm really glad to hear that you've found relief from your pain! It's amazing how medication can change our lives for the better. Sending positive vibes your way from California! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors

Hi Rob. I have chronic fatigue and discomfort in my body, which varies. Sometimes when it's worse I feel it most in my upper body. I have a constant physical heaviness in my body and brain. I describe it as feeling like recovering from the flu (the proper flu, not a bad cold!) I can get tension headaches in a second, and these can be excruciating, like having your head clamped in iron. A few months ago I had one that lasted 10 days 😬. I have to be very careful to avoid this. Painkillers do not work for me on this type of headache. Bipolar 1.
Ugh, that sounds rough! I can't imagine how tough it must be. Just know you're not alone in this-sending good vibes your way! Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
Hi I am bipolar and have chronic pain from injury. I was put on oxycontin for 23 years of my life for my pain, Almost 4 years ago I went through withdrawl off oxy which was a journey to a hell that I almost didn't survive. I was put on gabapentin for pain, it has worked for managment of my pain and hasn't caused issues with my bipolar at all. I am on cymbalta and lithium for my bipolar and have been quite balanced in these last 4 years. Thank you for your videos the infomation you give in them can save lives of people in our community.

This is like "What came first the chicken or the egg?" Actual physical illnesses/ injury such as from cancer, spinal vertebrae conditions, interstitial cystitis, etc. can cause PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more. Sadly, psychiatrists too often just ask about symptoms and don't delve into causes. If someone is in severe pain because of a pinched nerve, and this exacerbates their stress, or if someone isn't sleeping because they wake up 5-6 times at night because of interstitial cystitis the psychiatrist assumes it is psychological. Psychiatry should look at the whole person - their medical issues, family life, legal problems if any, financial status, etc. - all of this works together. Bipolar is also often misdiagnosed - other psychiatric disorders have symptoms that overlap - PTSD, BPD, to name a few.
You're absolutely right! It's crucial for psychiatrists to take a better approach and consider the interplay between physical and mental health. Understanding the whole person can lead to much better outcomes. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
Loved this video! I experience chronic pain because of hypermobility (HSD). I also have ME/CFS and POTS. It might make an interesting video to talk about fatigue as wel :)
I notice when I’m in really low moods and depression that my lower back acts up. Or if I’m stressed in general. It amplified significantly during jobs where I had to lift; enough to the point I’d end up calling out a lot or outright quit. I’m thankful to be on disability now.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s a reminder that our mental health can have a big impact on our physical well-being. I’m really glad you found a path that works for you. Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
DUDE! Not diagnosed....I watch your videos and say "YEP THATS ME!". I call what you are talking about at around 0:49 and uring my manic injury phase I call it my "Forgetting I'm not 18" phase

When my depressive episodes get bad, I get melancholic depression. I get muscle weakness. The pain is like getting the Flu with out the fever. I ache all over, In my muscles, in my joints. For weeks. Laying in tears many times, On those nights all I can do is wait for my medication to drop me to sleep. Hot shower or float in a spa gives some reduction. But every morning, I put feet on the floor and go. I remember to celebrate my cup of coffee. For some days for some people even the easiest task can be the hardest thing they do that day.
I really appreciate you sharing your journey. It takes a lot of strength to be so open, and your determination to get up each day is truly commendable. Keep celebrating those little victories! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I'm not bipolar ( my doctor suspected it,) but felt it was persistent depressive disorder. But i have all over body pain. And it makes me feel so tired that i want to give up. Fyi i like your channel

thank you for this. I had no idea there was such a crossover between bipolar and chronic pain. That's fascinating. have bipolar 1 and chronic pain. chronic pain is from a few things, neuropathy from type 1 diabetes, slipped discs in back and neck, and muscle pain especially in lower back. i like to use a lot of non medication options (though i have been on gabapentin as a combo pain med and mood stabilizer for many years, and get steroid trigger point injections in my hands and shoulders occasionally) I use ice packs, heating pads, and my favorite is my TENS unit. you can get one online for like $30 and they work by sticking on these little electrodes over muscles (do not put over your spine or above your shoulders!) and it send a gentle electrical pulse that blocks pain signals from traveling through your body. It's sorta like how mania lessens pain because your brain is too overloaded from the mania to feel it. The TENS just overloads your nerves so the pain signals don't get to your brain. I also use stretches and exercise ( walk and bike) to help my mental state and pain.
Thanks for dropping your story! It's super cool to see how you tackle pain and mood stuff with your own style. Those TENS units sound like a game changer! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I've had pain my entire life and never linked the 2 until I was on the right combination of medicine for my bipolar. I was suddenly less nauseous, I was still in pain but to a very controllable degree. Trying to keep it under control without medication is wicked hard.
I am 53 and bipolar 1 along with adhd, anxiety and cpsd. I am proud that I have managed to stay alive this long. My late teens to early 40’s were a time that I just destroyed my body with exercise addiction. After a certain point, the pain became too much to continue with excessive exercise. I did well on opioids and did not abuse them, but got cut off when my old doctor retired and his replacement just didn’t want to deal with complex problems and immediately dropped me. So, now, I have no effective pain relief and my bipolar has either not improved or gotten worse over the years. I cannot tolerate the meds that helped keep me somewhat steady anymore. So, in summary, I am sort of doing what management I can, but live in constant fear anything getting out of control. It’s scary.

This is the first time I have heard you say anything I dont... cant agree with. I dont want to not be manic. Its the only time I feel happy and I dont have such a small energy budget. I do have pain, especially when I am depressed, but it doesnt really bother me much. Its that sad, hopeless feeling I cant stand. The only pains in my life I cant stand are that and tooth or sinus pain. Because nothing can stop them, no matter what I try. I am doing what I can to keep from dealing with the sinus and tooth pain, but nothing can stop the depression pains. ID rather be hit by a bus repeatedly for the rest of eternity than deal with1 more second of that. Even if I dont chase the mania, it still hurts just as bad. The only thing that has ever helped me with it was my ex. When I use to hold her, nothing else mattered. But... she took herself from this world.... My mania is the closest thing I have to the way she made me feel.... It couldnt hold a candle to her though... I miss you so much Sara, I hope you got the ring I sent you. Ill be there once time has ticked its last tock for me. Not a moment sooner. I want plenty of stories to tell you

I have a very high pain threshold, until I take my antipsychotics. It was especially noticeable when I was in hospital for compartment syndrome in my leg, and after the surgery to remove the dead muscle. Throughout the day I would be offered opioids and would refuse as it wasn't that sore, but then after I took my night antipsychotics (Seroquel) nothing but a pethedine injection would allow the pain to be manageable. I hate pain meds, so I usually land up using nothing. My doctor had to insist on a minimum when I had spinal fusion a few years ago. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my C1 when I was 32, but never realised it could be related to bipolar. Unfortunately I saw my psychiatrist a few days ago, but I'll remember to ask her about this in a few months.
I really appreciate you sharing your story. It takes a lot of courage to open up about these experiences. I'm glad you're keeping track of your health and planning to discuss it further with your psychiatrist. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I have bipolar disorder and some pains in my body. I have knee pain, pain in my feet, and serious back problems. I would be careful with gabapentin when you have bipolar. A few years ago I was prescribed gabapentin for severe sciatica pain. That medication definitely helped for pain but after some time it caused a full blown mania episode. I was stable for years before that. When you check common side effects for people with mental disorders you can see that mania and paranoia are among them. I would avoid gabapentin at all costs.
I'm so glad to hear that this video resonated with you! Understanding the connection between chronic pain and bipolar disorder can really help in managing both conditions. You're not alone in this! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I'm BP1 w psychotic features and have chronic pain. I had a manic episode and was in psychosis when i literally ran head first into several vehicles. I was lucky not to die and had to wait several years to get a discectomy and spinal fusion surgery in my neck at C5/6. The doctors said there was damage at both C4/5 and C6/7 but the amount of extra pain relief didn't justify the decrease in my range of motion, so i still have pain meds, but I take them as required now rather than high dosages taken daily, so that was a win.
Man, that sounds intense! Props to you for getting through all that. Glad to hear you’re managing the pain better now-keep hanging in there! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
I'm bipolar with RA too. Looks like another couple of people in the comments section are in the same boat. There is research of treating cognitive decline in bipolar with TNF-a inhibitors and other immunosurpressants. Interesting stuff to read about. What reduces pain besides the RA meds... quitting alcohol, focusing 100% on getting quality sleep (Trazodone at the moment), massage, float tanks, and acupuncture. Used to do yoga but can't anymore.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s really helpful to hear what strategies others are using. Your insights on pain management are invaluable to this community! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors

I was on Lyrica for fibromyalgyia and it triggered an intense depressive episode. I had to stop taking it cold turkey and increase my psych meds for a few months to stabilise.

I'm 46 now and was diagnosed with BP1 six years ago. I've been suffering from hormonal migraines for almost 24 years now making my everyday life unbearable for 3 to 5 days a month. I was hoping for them to stop during menopause but it actually didn't happen. As a next I will try antibody prevention treatment which is highly recommended for all kinds of therapeutically resistant or chronical migraines.
Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like you've been through a lot, and I truly admire your strength in facing these challenges. I hope the antibody prevention treatment brings you the relief you deserve! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
Bipolar and fibromyalgia. I have problems with caffeine ,alcohol and sugar. Increases mania and fibromyalgia symptoms. These substances are hard to give up. I go good for a while and then have a manic episode and I look for reward and pleasure in the very substances that trigger me.The manic episode gets worse.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s definitely a tough journey, and recognizing the triggers is a crucial first step. Remember to be kind to yourself as you navigate this process! -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors

I had a Corticosteroid shot once for a sore throat and general cold to improve my symptoms. It caused a full blown manic episode (I'm medicated, sleep disciplined, and watch my health) that lasted about 2 weeks, then I crashed into a terrible depression. I hope this helps people be aware, the 7:00 minute mark of the video is good information.
I have bipolar 1, I'll be turning 70 soon and EVERYTHING hurts. Most R real health problems caused by bipolar, bc of behavior , overdoing it when manic, doing nothing AT ALL when depressed. BUT everything hurts worse bc of the bipolar 1. What can I do. I do take depakote, I am not a doctor but I find that this med helps my thoughts slow down & I think before I speak, which is helpful to me and those around me. I am not suicidal, (AT THIS TIME) but I don't fear death. It's been a long hard journey :/

26 years of chronic cervical pain and pain in joints. After diagnosed with BD2 since 2 years on lithium carbonate and Amitriptyline. The pain is considerably less, and can move easier. I wish I’d known it earlier…

@ Thnxs Rob. But it’s only because of you that I found out that pain and BD can go together. No doctor ever told me that. Many thanks for your educative work 🙏
I'm struggled with back pain for the last 25 years. Been taking prescription pain killers all these years. And have abused it. I kind of know that it does t help so much, but are maybe addicted, but cannot stop using them. The last year i been taking more than the prescription, ending with 10 to 12 days a month without using some. These days are very hard to handle. The pain is not so much worse, but the abstinenses are horrible. And my BP gets much worse. It s very hard to get back on track ore quit, so for you using prescription meds, please follow the program. Its so easy getting into a bad spiral. Any tips for stop using?

Thanks for your question! I appreciate your curiosity about ketamine therapy. I haven't had it so I can't really recommend it or not. It seems to be a newer treatment and perhaps it will take time to study the effects. For right now medication is still the standard treatment for Bipolar Disorder. -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
Thank you for bringing up this topic! It’s essential to shed light on the relationship between mental health and physical symptoms. Your curiosity can help others feel less alone. I wish I had an answer for you but I don't. I would ask your doctor. It could perhaps be a side effect from medication too? -Rob www.patreon.com/PolarWarriors
Maybe try talking to a school counselor if your family won’t let you see a therapist or your primary doctor about your concerns? I’m a lot older than you and in treatment now but I remember how it feels to have your family dismiss your mental health concerns. My mother always dismissed my depression symptoms as a teen and it really sucked feeling like she didn’t care.
@@andrewoats thank u so much for the advice but my school doesn't have one and i still can't go to any therapist and the problem is the "ending everything " idea ...

@@AlynLyah Hi Alyn, my understanding from watching this wonderful Polar Warriors channel, and others, is that you must have experienced at least one Manic Episode to be considered for a Bipolar diagnosis. /Remember also that your body is still going through major Developmental Phases of Human Growth. Moving from Childhood and Pre-Teen to Full Adulthood Development, around age 25. If you were my family member, that's where I'd start. Finding you a good Human Biology book and getting you to watch some videos about 'The Teenage Years: What should young Males/Females expect?' Plus a 'Guide for Healthy Habits and Lifestyle Choices for a Teenager'. You may learn that what you are experiencing and feeling is all within the definitions of 'Normal Development'. I'm bipolar and none of my doctors ever told me that. Im gonna mention that next visit thanks.

I have chronic chest pains like my heart is going to stop. I live with this every day. Thanks for the video

@PolarWarriors It's pretty rough/damn frustrating when the Docs don't take me seriously though😮
😞 I hate that feeling, please don't stop advocating for yourself!

It took years for them to diagnose my IC🙄
You're absolutely right! It's crucial for psychiatrists to take a better approach and consider the interplay between physical and mental health. Understanding the whole person can lead to much better outcomes.

Thank you for another encouraging, insightful presentation. from ETG San Rafael California
thank you for this.

It’s scary.
I really appreciate you opening up about your experiences. It’s inspiring to hear how you’ve managed to keep going despite everything life has thrown at you. Your strength is powerful!

I was prescribed Gabapentin once. It did absolutely nothing for me. Useless...

@PolarWarriors thank you so much
I'm BP1 w psychotic features and have chronic pain.

@PolarWarriors Thx for all your good information Rob. I know most of it but not all🤭
I believe everything you are saying. I am 66, can't believe I am still alive. I do wonder why.
Hey could you do a video talking about autism and bipolar I struggle with both and the lack of information is driving me crazy
Totally hear you! That sounds like a great idea for a video.

I was on Lyrica for fibromyalgyia and it triggered an intense depressive episode. I had to stop taking it cold turkey and increase my psych meds for a few months to stabilise.
I'm really sorry to hear that you had such a tough experience with Lyrica. It’s a reminder of how different medications can affect us in unexpected ways. I hope you’re feeling more stable now!

My daughter has schizoaffective disorder bipolar subtype and is concurrently being tested for Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos due to chronic pain problems.

Non-stop physical pain.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like you've been on quite a journey, and it's important to acknowledge the struggles that come with bipolar disorder.

Many thanks for your educative work 🙏
Thank you for your kind words!

Have u tried ketamine therapy?
Thanks for your question! I appreciate your curiosity about ketamine therapy. I haven't had it so I can't really recommend it or not. It seems to be a newer treatment and perhaps it will take time to study the effects. For right now medication is still the standard treatment for Bipolar Disorder.

Anything about bipolar and chronic nausea?
Thank you for bringing up this topic! It’s essential to shed light on the relationship between mental health and physical symptoms. Your curiosity can help others feel less alone. I wish I had an answer for you but I don't. I would ask your doctor. It could perhaps be a side effect from medication too?

Im 16 and i think im bipolar but nobody in my family tends to believe me.
Man, that really sucks! It’s so frustrating when people don’t get what you’re going through. Just know you're not alone in this-keep pushing for the help you need! Please contact www.teenline.org/youth they can direct you to different resources. Take gentle care!

Try not to be so hard on yourself. Remember, there will only ever be the one unique version of You in this universe. Understanding that you hold the steering wheel is a great start 😊
