For the love of god!! I cannot figure out how you set up that belt for the manure. 😭😭😭 Ps. You’re like the only UA-camd with fs19 videos (that I’ve seen so far) that isn’t obnoxious to listen to. Thank you for that!
Hey Alex, I'm hoping to get though all the animals soon enough...if only I could find a way of duplicating time! I'll see if I can put this near the top of my list though :)
When I was a kid, many many many years ago, my teacher used to make us say How Now Brown Cow, lol. I love animal husbandry in FS, no matter what version. Cows in FS will always go for the TMR first, when that runs out, they'll go for the silage/hay, and when that runs out, they eat the grass. At least that was in 17.
From the testing I've done, it looks to be the same this year. I was always under the impression that you could simply feed them all (3) types of food and that would give you a boost in productivity over 100%. I was definitely wrong!
@@KlutchSimulations It's an easy mistake to make. I always like to max out all three options. That way, it will take longer for the productivity to drop and, how fast that drops, is relative to the number of cows you own, obviously, the more cows you own, the faster the productivity will drop. You're going to spend most of your time making TMR and I'm fine with that, especially if your farm is mostly animals. I sure hope that whoever created the "Animal Table Manners" mod brings it over to FS19. The worst thing about keeping animals in FS is cleaning up the spilled food outside of the feeding trough, it's a pain in the ass.
for those who are asking the same question how do you get straw or hay you get hay from grass thats been mowed and flipped over. straw you get from wheat or barley after harvesting
I don’t know if this was said anywhere but using the same breed of animal for cows or pigs will be better in the long run because the reproduction times for those animals will be shorter and you can keep track of the repro. times for the animals a lot easier
Hay/silage and grass numbers didnt drop after the 24 hour wait. I think it gives you extra time to fill up, like they will it TMR first, when that is done, they eat Hay and when that is finished they eat the grass
Thats the same setup i used for my silage bunkers (Conveyor belts). Theres some kind of bug with decoupling them atm. Not sure if its known. Gonna try silage fork tonight. Just subscribed to your page. Im the guy who asked about favorite map. Plan on starting Oakfield soon!
Nice one, thank you for this tutorial, I need to buy more equipment. I'm enjoying FS19 a lot. Played a bit of FS13 back in... well... 2013. My dad and I worked on a farm (around 100 cows) in 2002-2004 (I worked there 3 years, my dad clocked 18:), I hold a certificate for artificial insemination of cattle. That's why I'm keeping cows in the game:) Who needs call of duty when you can relax at your virtual farm? -subscribed-
Thanks for the detailed tutorial video Klutch with your testing experiment. Im totally new in the world of Farming Simulator :D and learned a lot of your vid. Keep up your great vids & good work
Thanks for the vid. I've been experimenting with cows and pigs recently and was wondering if you could get any bonuses for filling all the food types to the green. I'd tried it with pugs and it didn't seem to do much. Kinda wasted 26000l each of soy beans and sugar beets.
Nope, no bonus for filling the rest. If you can always supply TMR then that's all ya need. If they run out of TMR then they will starting eating the next available food but their production will also lower to the kind of food they are getting.
Hi. I enjoy your videos and learn a lot. I have a problem: Milk not loading into the tank. I have cows, i reached productivity 100 for them, and they produce milk units. I drive the tank into the marked place. It stays 0% in the tank, and no button appears for loading or filling. I double checked everythink, i chose two kinds of tanks, i drove it inside in many angles. Nothing. Can someone help? Thanks.

Another tip, use hay loft, put hay silage and straw in, drive mixer underneath and dump desired amounts.
what equipment do you buy to load it all into the mixer.

THIS IS SO ULTIMATE! I can’t wait :)
You already knew it was coming!

You can use a forage collector, collect loose straw, use forage collector to dump straw as bedding
Where u dump it?

I'd just fed them hay. Seems like the most bang for the buck.
I'm using a front loader just like you and can't scoop up the spilled feed to clean. What gives?

True. But, An adult female that has had a calf (or two, depending on regional usage) is a cow.
Heifer is one that hasn't had a calf ( or two)
Cows and cattle are literally the same thing lol.
Can you name each cow?
That's a negative. Not the same as horses...I wounder if there's a mod out there....
