The thing that hurts about breakups isn't always the breakup itself. It's the aftermath. You try to go back to the headspace you were in and to the person you were before that person because that was the period in your life where you didn't feel hurt. But the sad truth is as much as we want to go back, we can't because nothing will feel the same. We can't pretend like the relationship and the feelings we had and the moments we had for that person never happened or existed. Instead we're forced to live with it whether we like it or not. And what hurts the most is that person probably would have moved on way before you did. It's okay to grieve your relationship. Cry as much as you want because that relationship meant something to you. Take as much time as you want because healing and moving on has no timeline and you heal at your own pace. But I promise you things will get better in the end. ❤
