Comedy is the perfect release for emotions and tension, right? When a serious, somber show tries emotion its really not doing much - its a tad bit sadder than before? Big deal. But when comedy does it - its a swing and shift in emotion that you might not have been expecting. So it sticks with us. It changes us. It affects us.
Laughter is the best mask for pain.
Comedy is the perfect mask for pain, why do people laugh at serious moments its not ha ha funny its nervousness its the fear of being real will get us judged

Whenever I feel sad, down and hurt I start going through this kind of videos. I know all of the references here and I've watched them a thousand times, but everytime I listen to them again they hit me as if t's for the first time. I read comments below and I say to myslef the world we are all living in is not going well. Why do we hurt each other this hard?

Yeah me too, infact it's everyday that happens. In the start, I didn't understood it but after some time it really f****d my mental health n I just made the hard choice of my life that to indulge in family anymore, I don't care, I don't give a shit anymore, all the love n affection is gone. I'm thankful for them to raise me but it's done.

The montage brings up so many different memories and associated feelings. One insight I got from all this was to not only view myself as decent not good nor bad but to view others as decent not good or bad. It’s more accurate and doesn’t color them with a false sense of being. It’s more neutral, nuanced, and lacking judgement. Just open to range of behaviors and emotions another may bring.
Pain can be unbearable. Powering through and putting it away stops working someday. Maybe today is that day.
