I played the star wars custom server on squad the other day, it was really impressive and fun but the maps are kinda chaotic and not balanced well

What would be the cheapest pc that could still run squad? One of my mates that plays pc always says a 300 pound pc could play most games but what about squad?
I can play it on a i7-4785t and gtx 860m, just using an alienware steam machine that has gone windows 10
I have an i5 9300 and gtx 1650 and no problems running squad. Just watch out that you have at least 4 gb if vram and i think 16 gb of ram. Cpu is something around the i5 generation fine.
300 pounds should cut it, go for Ryzen if you are on a budget (only CPU, not GPU) and then ... anything from a 1060 and above should easily cut it
There’s a difference between ‘running a game’ and it actually being playable. I recently got a laptop that can handle any game, got squad few days ago and play @ 1080P mixed settings. And I still get ~50fps in a lot of action. Spotting enemies isn’t that easy in this game even when playing the game on a 16.1 Inch monitor (laptop screen) @1080p. And you Ofcourse don’t want the FPS drops to get you killed in a battle.
I think that if you get a 1650ti and a basic new Ryzen or intel with 16gb ram and you can have the game be playable. You could also get a 300£ pc but it won’t be fun and you’ll think about upgrading it all the time, believe me I also was in that situation and had to play so many shooters on

Watching your videos makes me wish squad had a community workshop like arma 3 with co-op missions. Love that about arma but this game looks so good visually. Don’t know why they didn’t implement that as well to pull in even more players like me that love the co-op missions
Considering the engine it's running on it should look a whole lot better.
I kinda wish drew made the more serious milsim style vids for this game and others.. not to say this isn’t a lot of fun but I also like some milsimmin ya know

how does drewski actually manage to get sniper without someone taking it before him
In all these videos there's always a bit where you don't know if they're friendlies, and then you look at like 18 black pixels moving very quickly and confidently declare that they are or they are not. Like, what are you even looking at?
The silhouette mostly is what gives it away more so than the color. Each faction and each kit has its own distinct silhouette. Also helps to not have your FOV as high as Drewski has his in this video, a higher FOV will lower the zoom on optics and binoculars.

@@seanquiles5917 I also find no antiailising helps on 1080p, there's no blending of colors around edges making silhouettes & movement easier to spot.
