This was actually kinda useful, I did read through everything for the exam but was unsure what it was like so put it off being scared of failing, now I have a general idea of what it’s like, which honestly helps a lot.

If you fail you can just redo the thing every time discord puts new stuff on the mod exam website, which is every 2 months or so, so I wouldn’t worry too much about failing :)

1:14 if you really hate talking to people, make a new discord server, make a new role, make an entire category, set it to only visible to the role, make a new channel, sync the permissions, create a new text document, write something there with random ascii characters, encode it in base64, save it with a random file extension, post it in the locked channel, copy your id, and delete everything afterwards.

After submitting the exam, this is basically a 50/50 game whether you are gonna get accepted (you will know this if the official discord dms you) or rejected, also this process took a hell lot of time (mine took like 6 or more months to get accepted (this was a while ago)) so maybe if you waited for 1-2 years, consider yourself getting rejected or the discord staff is lazy
Also to clarify, no, you won’t get the badge instantly if you got accepted by the way, there is a process which I won’t be stating it here for obvious reasons
TL;DR : 50/50 chance to get accepted or not, this application process will take a long time, you won’t get the badge after you get accepted

So the funny thing is even if you legitly filled everything out and got all the answers right, that doesn't even guarantee you getting the badge.
I applied for the badge like years ago and still have yet to get mine, even doing the exam twice, still no messages or feedback, meanwhile I wrote two paragraphs and a 10 seconds video and got the HypeSquad Events badge 4 years ago.

After you got accepted you'll get dm by discord.
You won't get the badge immediately.
you will go through some process
A staff member will check your message logs on all the server you joined which a channel can be accessed by @everyone (assuming they check for any unacceptable word 😂)
